• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Statistics

Here in Ontario Canada where I just bought my 2016 RT Limited last month (Oct 2016), all I know is that my insurance company specifically said that they DO insure 3-wheeled motorcycles if the 2 wheels are in the front, but DO NOT insure 3-wheeled motorcycles if the 2 wheels are at the back. They...

    Power Steering

Many thanks to everyone for all your quick replies. I didn't think there was a problem, but thought I should ask anyway as the electric power steering on my Honda Fit kicks in as soon as the engine is running (yes, I know it's a completely different vehicle). Thanks again everyone. You guys are...

    Power Steering

Can't seem to find a thread for this question, although I'm confident that it's there somewhere. On my 2016 RT Limited, with the engine running but vehicle is NOT moving, the steering is very stiff to turn until the vehicle begins to move. Is this normal? I would have thought that with...

Some put them away too early

If you have deep pockets, you could always mod your Spyder to be used in the snow..

    Sena 20s question

I agree with above. Try pairing the GPS as a GPS, and NOT as a second phone. Then on the Spyder's digital display, go into Settings and ensure "NAV" volume is increased as it defaults to zero regardless of what the Sena's volume or GPS volume is set to. Hope that helps.

    Sway Bar

Has anyone installed one of these sway bars themselves? I would have no issues with doing it myself, aside from trying to figure how to raise the front of the Spyder off the ground to gain access to the suspension. Any pros/cons about doing it yourself, should I decide to go for the sway bar and...

So, I took one for a test ride

I just picked up my 2016 Intense Red RT Limited 4 days ago. I try to get out as much as I can before I have to put it to bed for the snow. For me, in my opinion, it was a no-brainer on which year to go for. Personally, I wanted RED, which is no longer available on the 2017 model. Even if it was...

    Just wat to say Hi.

Red wasn't offered on the 2017s, so I had to go for a 2016, which is fine because they have the purchase incentives now on the 2016s.

    Just wat to say Hi.

Hi Bruce. I actually have some relatives in Abbotsford, and they have a nasty habit of sending me pics of them mowing their lawn on Christmas Day.

    Just wat to say Hi.

Took a drive to Ottawa, Ontario, yesterday to get my "familiarization walk around" on my new RT Limited. Can't wait to have this in my driveway next week. Hopefully the weather will stay warm for a while so I can put some clicks on it before having to put it to bed for the winter. Also met...

    Garmin 660 GPS

If your Spyder or Zumo 660 was purchased in North America, then the 660 will come pre-loaded with Garmin's City Navigator NT for North America maps (full coverage). This includes "continental" USA, and ALL of Canada. Also, yes, the speed indicator on the main navigation screen can easily be set...

    Gas station question (Rant)

I am a Canadian, and with my experience of travelling into the US (geocaching trips), I've discovered that the advertised price for fuel on those big gas-station signs is ONLY if you pay with cash. If you pay by credit card, the price per gallon is actually a few cents more.

    Just wat to say Hi.

Hi Bill. Yes, you are quite close to me. I have some friends in Brockville, so I go there semi-regularly in my Honda Fit, usually as a pass-through on my way to Ottawa, but now I tend to take Hwy 15 to Carleton Place then to Ottawa as it's a more mellow drive and no transport trucks. I actually...

    Kingston Ontario Area Spyders??

A wee bit late in the season, but I pick up my spankin' new Spyder RT Limited in mid-October 2016. I live in Kingston, but also have friends in Brockville. Feel free to give me a shout if you want to go riding somewhere. Dave (SuperDave_GPS), Kingston, Ontario.

    Kingston Ontario Area Spyders??

A late reply, I know, but I'm new to the Spyder and this forum (don't even have my Spyder yet. Get it in 2 weeks). I will definitely be looking for touring-buddies, so feel free to give me a shout anytime. Dave (Kingston, Ontario)...

    Just wat to say Hi.

Just want to say Hi. Not sure if this is the right place to do this. My very first post on this forum, so forgive my learning-curve. Just want to introduce myself, as I'm sure I'll have all sorts of noob questions for the pros and veterans. I am Dave (SuperDave_GPS) from Ontario, Canada. I...
