• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RS windscreens

Got to throw a  for the CalSci Tinted Shorty! It's about 7.5" taller than the stock RS windshield and is about the sexiest looking windshield around. Goes really nicely with the looks of the sporty RS!

    Head lights

I'll have the BRP HID xenon's installed in the next week or so. Do you ryde with the highbeams on most/all of the time or just rock the lowbeams most/all of the time? (except at night when no cars around - of course that's recipe for highbeams)

Short trips...more harm than is worth it?

Hey guys, I work approx 3 miles from my house, which was engineered for sure! Clearly...in 3 miles...that barely gives the spyder time to get the coolant up to operating temp, nevermind to get the oil up to operating temp. Would it be recommended for me to not be taking the spyder to work...

Installing baja ron sway bar...suggested FOX shocks setting?

I will definitely do that...I did a search for bajaron and it appears that he goes by a different screen name on here as it didn't turn up on threads started by him. What is his handle on here?

Anyone know where I can acquire a 2012 RSS owners manual?

Cha-ching! Nicely done Bob thanks! Printing it out will have to do, but that will indeed do quite nicely being that it's free! ;)

Anyone know where I can acquire a 2012 RSS owners manual?

My spyder did not come with one and the dealer couldn't find one for me. :gaah: Annoying! Although, I'm sure there is somewhere or someone that has an extra one or someplace online that I can purchase one?

Trying to contact Reggie - what is his screen name?

Reggy hit me up very quickly after I sent him a PM this morn! All good! I ordered his underbody spyder ground effects kit online today! After much research, I decided his kit was the best option to go with based on design, quality, and customer service! Thanks Reggie!

    Juicebox or power commander??

Just wondering why some people find the decel popping/backfiring annoying? I find it very awesome and love it! It sounds badass and exotic to me! So much so, that I will probably skip getting a fuel manager and forfit increased performance of one just because it'd make my decel popping...

I've already sent an email to Reggie at '[email protected]' on June 4th, with no response :sour: Figuring I'll try to find him on here and send him a PM. Thanks guys!

    Warm up time before WOT?

I will call around my local auto stores and will ask for amsoil, motul, or royal purple motorcycle synthetic oil and see what they have.

    Warm up time before WOT?

You remind me of the "oil guru" from my audizine forum haha. There's always one that is an oil subject matter expert! That is awesome and very good knowledge, thanks for the post Ron. So...what true Type IV Ester based oil would you recommend for the spyder that I can purchase at an...

Issue with 2012 RSS...during shift from 1st to 2nd. Problem solvers unite!

Thanks dadof4...forgot to address this. I definitely have tried shifting at different RPM's with mixed results. You know one thing I'm somewhat wondering about...every single one of my rydes so far have been less than 25 minutes long, one way. It is possible that these erratic/delayed shifts...

Issue with 2012 RSS...during shift from 1st to 2nd. Problem solvers unite!

Awesome! Didn't know about the leave idling for a minute part. Good to know! How about the oil level reading...amIrite that the correct level should be in the middle between the low part of the hatchmarks and the mid part of the hatch marks at that time?

    Warm up time before WOT?

Hey guys, Have a few questions that I have not come across in all my research on this forum about the spyder. My curiosity on this topic is due to my DD cager...Audi S4 (4.2 V8). The audi forums suggest about 15 minus of low-load (in spyder terms, non-lugging) driving, under 3k RPM's, for the...

Issue with 2012 RSS...during shift from 1st to 2nd. Problem solvers unite!

VERY insightful and helpful responses guys!! Much appreciated. I am firmly believing that my oil is probably a little low (based on the responses) even though I just got it from the dealer one week ago tomorrow. That makes the most sense given how many miles are on it. Here is my one...

Issue with 2012 RSS...during shift from 1st to 2nd. Problem solvers unite!

Hey guys, I didn't really notice the issue when I was ryding two up with my girl. I believe the reason is because I slowly and more gradually accelerate to 5500-ish rpm's before up-shifting to second when she was ryding with me. When I was ryding by myself last night, I was definitely a bit...

Helmet headsets to communicate with passenger...suggestions?

One more thing I forgot to inquire about...you mentioned that they attach easily to most helmets. We both have a scorpion and I also have an Icon. Any pointers or comments you can add regarding how these headsets install into a helmet? A helmet is suppose to fit snugly and as such, there ain't...
