• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Motorcycle license NOT required in Quebec

When I bought my first house in Quebec in 1982 my license plate for my Honda 500/4 was the same as my mortgage payment ~ $500 and my insurance was another $500. I sold the bike and didn't buy another until 2005. Sad times, on a positive note I have been driving a bike for the last 17 years!

Just bought an exhaust can on ebay - any worries running lean?

More out of curiosity than need, can you tell us what the db level is when you measure it at the level of the riders ear also? As a rule, I wear earplugs to protect my ears (already have tinnitus so I'm trying to protect what I have left) and a helmet must cut the level a bit too. I am told...

Checking tire pressure - Not a big problem anymore.

I have been looking at the FOBO units. You can check the tire pressure on an app on your phone. https://my-fobo.com/product-family/FOBO_BIKE_2_for_Trike Not cheap, but easy to use. You will need to install T-valves if you do not already have them-can be done at next tire replacement.

    GPS Recommentations

I use a Zumo 396. Most of the time I am entirely OK with the brightness. I have it set to full brightness and always have it in night mode which I find works best for me. I would love to get some kind of shroud to shade it for when the sun comes over my shoulder and hits the screen but i haven't...

1330cc ECU flash affect on engine temperature

I am not a mechanic or a tuner. From what I have read and been told the most common route to increased HP with a remapped ECU is to raise the engine RPM limit to a higher number. Unless you run it all the way up in the rev range you will be paying for the bragging rights not everyday usability...

My DIY GPS mount for my Ryker.

I use a Zumolock zumolock for my Zumo 396. The unit with the RAM Security lock + key runs 79 Euros ($93US) and about $6 shipping It's simple, it works. I live in an apartment and I am completely OK with leaving the unit on the bike. It was a real annoyance to remove it every time I parked at...

Can I adjust the Handlebar angle!?

Loosening some may be as simple as removing a zip tie. You will see when you look closely.

Is it safe to tow a Freedom trailer with a 2020 F3-S? Why doesn't BRP sell a hitch?

Are all the SCS/TCS/HHC systems on the F3 S going to work as advertised with a trailer hanging off the back. I don't want to end up in Limp mode after I have bought the F3 S, a hitch, wiring and a trailer.:banghead: This is the nature of the dilemma. I absolutely love the looks of the F3 S...

    F3S trailer hitch and stuff

Is it safe Towing with an F3-S?? I see that there are aftermarket hitches for the F3 S. How does this work out with the Nanny systems for VSS and so forth. I would hate to spend $5000+ on a hitch and new trailer to find myself in limp mode. Anyone with experience care to weigh in on this.

Best 92 bucks i've ever spent

Is there some kind of maximum weight to use to balance before you call the tire crap? As a kid I worked a summer in a Firestone store and if we needed more than 3-3.5 ozs we would break the bead and give it a 90 degree turn and try again. I just checked a GL1800 service manual, it says a maximum...

Oil change before winter storage or after ? Your thoughts?

I have my dealer change the oil before laying up the bike for the winter. I also have any required maintenance like coolant change/brake fluid change/clutch fluid/air filter done. Then take it home and I pull my battery and put it on a battery tender. When spring rolls around I am not waiting...
