• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Adventure Begins, Riding with MS!!!!!!! This is going to be long one......

I also have a problem with hip spasms. I have found that staying hydrated really helps. I don't know if this would help you or not, but I know on hot days I have to stay hydrated.

    Another geezer here

Glad to have you join us. Like you I am an old guy, 78 years old, with a fair amount of years on 2 wheels and none on 3. I bought a 2015 RTs in April of this year and love it. I ride with a group that ride primarily Harleys. None of us are young kids as we all live in an over 50 community...

Remeinder.. That "parking" brake - really isn't.

I am very quick to agree with this. Actually this applies to all vehicles. Tar and chip got on my truck. I had to travel on it for 2 or three miles. Must have added 100's of pounds and impossible to get off from many areas such as inside of bumpers.

    Spyder Sightings

Met Spyder Couple Last Tuesday while I was out riding I saw a black RT pull into our local Walmart here in Clermont, Fl. I followed and ended up having a very nice conversation with some fellow Spyder Lovers. Spyder Couple, were in Clermont enjoying a reprieve from a Minnesota winter. They...

Anyone else having multiple Throttle Position Sensor issues?

I love to see posts like this. This is the kind of person I really enjoyed working with prior to retirement. Good solid logic.

Can't get the $#%$ trailer hitch ball off the sypder

The grease is on there to prevent galling. If the ball and nut are stainless, short of cutting you would never get it off with out grease. The preferred grease would be a nickel based anti galling grease.

    Dead 1330 on my F3-S...

I am having trouble understanding this one. A failed oil pump will cause failure of any surface that moves against another surface, but an explosion? Obviously the components were moving as you were cranking the engine. The boom you heard had to be fuel exploding. To me I am inclined to...

    Install: Digital Voltmeter

Thanks a lot for the reply. That is very helpful. I was thinking of the USB in the middle switch position also, but when I popped the cover saw it was an odd shaped hole. Of course a dremel can fix that, but I was thinking that since I want to be able to connect it to my phone mounted right...

    Install: Digital Voltmeter

My ignorance I have seen several posts regarding disconnecting the fuel gage. One implied a second digital fuel gage that shows up when the analog gage is disconnected. Is this correct. If so please tell me more, as replacing the fuel gage with a weather proof USB would be great.

Can't get the $#%$ trailer hitch ball off the sypder

I do not disagree with anyone's suggestions, but because not all have access to that long large bore pipe for leverage, I will give an alternative that I have used many times. Back the Spyder up so the hitch mount has a support such as a power pole or strong fence post or even the side of a...

    Sweet! I'm jealous.

    RT front end wobble

Front Fender Shake as well as I had this same problem when my tires and Spyder were brand new. It turned out to be the belts in the tire were not put in correctly when the tires were made. This is tire belts, not the drive belt. In addition my alignment was out and the steering was trying...

    Sena Freewire

Freewire Cable. The cable that I was told will do the job came with my Spyder. I do not see a part number on it so I can not help you there, but it came from CanAm, so it is available. Ralph

    Sena Freewire

SENA FREEWIRE Make addition I have seen the Freewire at a dealer here in Orlando. I have a 2015 RTs. I also have dual Sena 20S mounted in my helmets for my wife and I. I know very little about Blue Tooth or communications equipment, but what I was told by the salesman at the dealer is...

    Shimmy

Great Post BajaRon I love this statement, "do they know how to use it?" Some of the posts regarding alignment would make a person believe that a laser is a cure all. A great piece of equipment, but unless equipment is used by a person who knows how to use it, it solves nothing.

    Does it ever calm down?

As a newbie myself, I liked the statement by Devious56. Push the bar instead of pull. When turning the handle bar by pulling instead of pushing it away from me, I was more unstable. Also all of these statements regarding the need to relax are so true. I ride most Saturdays with a group who...

    Storage Suggestions If No Garage...

Brettssunshine, thanks for the comment. Actually I not only make extra money, I get interaction with a lot of great people. On very rare occasions I get a jerk, but in almost 6 months I could number the jerks on one hand.

    Storage Suggestions If No Garage...

When I hear of a budget too tight to rent storage space I can identify with the sentiment. I was too short to buy the Spyder in the first place. I might get some laughs out of this but I drive Uber to make my Spyder payments. At least until we sell a home we have in Texas. Drive Uber a few...
