• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I really want to like this bike...

I like your statement regarding a regular alignment. I have never aligned a Spyder, but I have done many high speed rotating equipment alignments. I have used lasers and love them. In no way will I demean people who now do laser alignments. But I have also used dial indicators and jigs or...

I really want to like this bike...

Same issue I had the same issue. The dealer ( Central Florida Powersports Kissimmee Florida ) put me on a loaner and went to work on my RTS. The belts in my OEM tires were not straight. They spent 3 weeks proving the problem and getting new tires. The power steering was also causing the...

    Rear audio speakers

Thank You Bob I am having the same problem. The manual does not give the info you have posted. I am going to try this. I am quite sure I have speakers, as my wife said she heard them before there was service done on our Spyder. I am going to follow your instructions and see if I get my...

    Why Spyders need VSS

Agree VSS Chupaca, I like your thinking. I am too much inexperienced to have yet experienced the VSS taking over. The fact is I would love to be able to get the rear end to hang way out dirt tracker style. But the reality is that if the VSS works correctly it may keep me around to become...

    Why Spyders need VSS

Wanting more oversteer ds The thought of the VSS from the F3 is interesting. I have enjoyed cars with a lot of oversteer. the problem of comparing the Spyder RT with the F3 with looser VSS standards, is that the RT has a much higher CG than the F3. Basically this means it would be much...

How do you know when your front shocks are bad?

Central Florida Powersports Recomendation As a new rider for sure I am no expert. I just had my 2015 in for service as out of the box it handled bad. They replaced the front tires due to tire belt misalignment, but also the recommended and set my front tires at 25 PSI. This sounds very high...

WARNING FOR ALL RT OWNERS * You may want to check this on your machine

Winshiel bracket breakage. This subject was brought up previously and one poster mentioned that raising the windshield up slightly off of the lower stop seemed to reduce this possibility from occurring.

Refuelling Spyder and this pulled up next to me.

Lucas In addition to the Lucas lighting, They had a Lucas voltage regulator. It was simply a Zener Diode that dumped everything above 6 volts direct to ground. It was set in a heat sink mounted to the forks, below the headlamp. Brit bike riders often had the lines of the fins on the heat...

    Swar bar/ laser alingment

Laser Alignment As I start let me qualify this. I am a laser alignment fan, but as I said in a previous reply, the laser is only the tool used, the outcome is the result of the technicians skill and care. One other point regarding a laser alignment is how long is it good for. Since alignment...

Steering Pull Like this writer I am new to riding Spyders. Mine also pulled right. In addition the trailing edge of the front fenders has an obvious vibration between 50 mph and 60 mph. It appears I have been blessed with a great dealer, Central Florida power sports. They put me on a...

    Push, Don't Pull

Jaherbst, thanks for your understanding. Counter steering is using gyroscopic force. You apply force on the handlebar in the direction of the turn. A force applied to a rotating mass responds with equal force but opposite direction 90 degrees in direction of rotation from the applied force...

    Push, Don't Pull

Prior to purchasing my Spyder I had been reading Spyderlovers for some time. As I have stated previously it has been very helpful. One of the items I read said that when turning the Spyder, push the handlebar opposite the direction of the turn rather than pulling the one from the direction of...

    FINALLY

Today my wife and I became the owners of a new 2015 RTs SE. My first Spyder.I have wanted to do this for a long time and today was the day. I rode on 2 wheels for many years and quit totally in the late 90's. Maybe it was good, as so far I have not felt the difficulty I hear which some have...

    RT Twin heat problems

As I have read old posts I have read many posts regarding engine heating problems on the V twin RT Spyders. Was this a problem on all V twin Rt's or only certain years?

F3 Luggage Tell us more. Who makes them and how did you mount them? I see a backrest in the photo so they do not appear to take up the rear seat.

    F3T Seat Comfort

I test rode an F3 a year ago with the up graded seat. (8 Ball?) Found it quite comfortable, but of course I was only on the front and the ride was less than one hour. I am mainly wondering how comfortable the seat on the stock F3T is? I could live with the stock non upgraded front...
