• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2012 to 2019 RTL

I added the Baha sway bar and a Show Chrome backrest. They were both good investments.

    2012 to 2019 RTL

I know this is a topic that has been beat to death but here goes. I have a 12 RT with 11k miles. I pull a trailer 50% of the time. My shoulder bothers me after I ride and it may hurt after I ride a 1330 3-400 miles per day. My wife has an 18 and it steers easier and seems to handle windy...

    Alaska

We have a 2012 RT and a 2018 RT. We drive over a mile of gravel each way. I put the belt guard on the 12 but haven't the 18 yet. I forgot, thanks for the reminder!

    Alaska

This may be an old, worn out topic but here goes. I plan to retire in 2021 and plan to take our toy hauler to Alaska. Is it worthwhile to take a Spyder along? We were there 5 years ago on a cruise and a land tour. We only traveled the Parks Highway. I know there are oiled roads but I don't know...

    Alaska to Arkansas

Sorry to hijack your post. I would like to travel to Alaska when I retire. Planned to take our dually and haul a Spyder, hoping to camp most of the time. We planned to unload the Spyder and tour on it. My question is how much opportunity is there to ride there? We have been up the Parks Highway...

    Baha Ron Sway bar

My 2012 has no real issues except in extreme conditions. Wind, passing trucks, etc. I rode it from Kalispell, MT to Sheridan Wyoming one day, over 645 miles, which is a big day for me. I hoped the new sway bar would improve it and most comments support that.

    Baha Ron Sway bar

I have a 2012 RT and notice high winds and semis buffet me and cornering can be a bit challenging at times. I plan to buy a new sway bar hoping to improve that. My wife has a 2018 RT, she doesn't complain but would a new sway bar improve the handling on the 18? I believe I read the newer Can Ams...

    Show Chrome Backrest

My wife ordered me a Show Chrome backrest for my 2012 RTL. I am not sure how it will work. The Amazon reviews are OK. It is affordable compared to a new seat. She rides a 2018 RTL and plans to order a Can Am backrest later. Are their any others products available? I am open to suggestions. Thanks

    Locking glove box

It doesn't latch. It stays popped open. I don't care if it locks. I agree it's not secure, locked or not. I just want to get it latched and forget it.

    Locking glove box

I have a 2012 RTL and the box won't latch, never mind locking, it won't even latch. It happened when we were at Glacier last week. Bought some Velcro and fixed it for the time being. I am becoming a little disenchanted with all the maintenance required. Any idea why it won't latch?

How different will I sit on 2009 GS vs RT-L?

I am not getting rid of the RT, I just want a second one. The wife wants to ride alone, not two up. I think I will wait to buy a used RT or maybe F3. I just don't think I would be happy with a GS.

Thanks for all the information. What model would everyone recommend for comfort other than the RT?

How different will I sit on 2009 GS vs RT-L?

I don't know that my back would stand much bending over. I don't have a bad back but it would be tiring. The Spyder is about 200 miles away so I would like to have an idea before I make the trip. Thanks for the information!

How different will I sit on 2009 GS vs RT-L?

I have a 2012 RTL and am considering buying a 2009 GS SM5 with 5,800 miles. It has handle bar risers, My question is how much different will I set with this versus the RTL? I don't want to be bent over like a Ninja rider!

Flat Bed AluminumTrailer for Hauling a Spyder

Aluma TK1 Has anyone used the Aluma TK1? I am considering one to haul my RTL behind the fifth wheel. I saw a video of someone loading a Spyder on one but I don't think it was a RTL, worried about the front cowling.

    trailering Can-Am Spyser RT

Dolly Thinking of towing my Spyder behind our fifth wheel.I have a newer 5th wheel with a receiver hitch that has very limited weight capacity. I have an RV trailer that I could load the Spyder on. Does anyone have an idea of a dolly that I could tow that would handle the tongue weight of the...

    Wiring harness

This is a photo of the wiring that is on the Spyder we bought. I am attempting to connect to a trailer we bought. I would like to use this rather than install a new one. I purchased an automotive plug but it is just a little too large. Any ideas what type this might be? Thanks
