• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Vibration on 2014 RT

Some vibration is inherent in these machines due to the belt length. You might try getting the laser alignment to eliminate the possibility that it is front end related. Also, you did not state how many miles are on your machine - I found my vibrations lessened as my machine reached over 3000...

Changing Transmission Filter Cover on Semi-Automatic 1330

I was just wondering if anyone here with a 2014 or 2015 semi automatic Spyder has changed the transmission oil filter cover on their machine themselves. Did you take the machine to the dealer to have BUDS cycle the valves and bleed the air out of the system like the shop manual states should be...

    WATER LEAK - FRUNK AREA

Your frunk latch may need adjustment so it closes the frunk lid tighter on the rubber seal. Try that first.

    Which is correct????

Gramatically speaking, "A" or "C". "B" and "C" show possession such that "C" shows plural possession, ie. belongs to all veterans. "B" shows individual possession, ie. belongs to one veteran. It makes a difference where you put the apostrophe if you are going to use one. "A" references a name...

    SPYDERFEST 2016

I have never been to a Spyderfest or a Spyderquest because I am a newbie to "Spydering" this year. Have read about them somewhat on here but could someone who has been to both events tell me how they compare, even though I am sure they are both great events.

    Vibration on 2014 RT

There have been new specs put out on belt tension by BRP in a TST (Technical Service Tips) Bulletin in June 2015. Here is a link to comments I received from a BRP Certified Spyder Technician and what he says about belt vibration, belt tension and the revised specs. After you read the post, you...

    Vibration.....

Here is the link to a previous post on belt tension where I posted the June 2015 TST (Technical Service Tips) Bulletin from BRP. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?87042-The-Krikit-what-should-it-read&p=1050479&viewfull=1#post1050479 There has been a lot of discussion on here...

    Repair Manual

If I don't find what I am looking for in a Shop Manual, I always do a search on YouTube. It just so happens that Lamonster and Finless Bob have posted two excellent videos there on how to remove the rear tire on a Spyder.

PLEASE VIEW THIS POST & PASS IT ON.................

I was just thinking that some of these heros could probably still ride a specially equipped Spyder to join the rest of us riding. It would be an honor to have them in our group.

    DESS Key code again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been reading the posts on this thread and although I am so far one of the luckier ones with no DESS problems, I feel for those having the problems. I agree with Larry here that there should be some sort of emergency bypass so that the ignition lock becomes just that - a keyed ignition...

    Go Pro Cameras

Great video Bob! I enjoyed watching it. I have had to put my Spyder to bed for winter, as the cold season is coming here quick in Canada, but it made me want to go in my garage and at least sit on it for now and dream about riding next season! Hey, you must have freaked out a couple of those...

    Repair Manual

Yes I got the PDF version as well as the BRP manual. I like to have the PDF version in my smartphone so it is always with me on my trips. It also comes with parts manual, and accessories catalog incorporated. Here is the link to it > http://www.canammanuals.com/Can-Am%20Spyder.htm Hope this...

    Tires

Hi Grayfox. You may not get too many responses from the regulars here on your post because topics like tires, belt tension and a few others have been discussed over and over again with many threads if you were to do a search on here. In any event, I don't mind putting in my two cents if I can...

Solution for blind people seeing dash info

It's a great idea but watch you don't get the sun's rays hitting it in the right spot so you burn a hole in your cluster. These magnifying glasses can be used to start fires too! I had a friend with a CanAm ATV install one in front of his GPS to read the screen better. One day he moved the...

    Gas Premium Octane

And recently, we can add the threads on the "drive belt tension" topic to that list too - lol - but hey, I think it makes for an interesting forum when members are willing to share their ideas and opinions on topics that, for lack of of better word, get "re-discussed" occasionally. I enjoy...

    mySpyder app

What a shame that this app is not being updated if that's true. It is such a neat little app. I sure hope that someone will take over the updating for Roger if he does not want to do it anymore. An app like this is an asset to anyone with a Spyder. Kudos to Roger for developing it!

    Fastener Removal

I use a small flat screwdriver to pry up or bend a couple of the spring loaded tangs enough to release the pressure and pop off the fastener. I can easily flatten the tangs again with a pair of pliers so they hold as good as new when reinstalled if I am not using new ones. When installing...
