• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This wire-loom-looking-thing fell off my brand new Spyder

No. But it was perfectly wedged halfway at the end of my lower control arm. Plus, it looks brand spanking new with no black road marks anywhere.

This wire-loom-looking-thing fell off my brand new Spyder

I found this stuck in my right front lower control arm after my 2nd ride. I have an all black RS, so the grey is out of place. Looks like a wire loom or a protector for the fender mounts. Not properly cleared out of the way and discarded by the dealer?

Battery Tender Connector as Standard Equipment?

Yea, I'm still figuring the reasoning out. My Spyder had to be ordered, so it's not like it was sitting on the dealership floor. They received it in the crate Friday afternoon and started building it Saturday and I picked it up Monday night moments after they finished the laser alignment, so...

Battery Tender Connector as Standard Equipment?

Figured out where the battery access is and sure enough, it is a battery tender connector. The '14 owners manual doesn't seem to mention it, so I guess I got lucky with a free "dealer installed option". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Battery Tender Connector as Standard Equipment?

First of all, I believe congratulations are in order - I just picked up my first Spyder last night, a black 2014 RS SM5! The pics I took in my garage at night are crap, so you'll have to wait until I get it in the daylight this weekend. So, let's get right into it: I stumbled upon this while...

About to pull the trigger - some final questions

Any more thoughts on the laser alignment? I definitely don't want any problems at highway speeds. The closer dealer (Stamford Motorsports, CT) that I did the test drive with does not have laser alignments. Dutchess Recreational Vehicles, Poughkeepsie, NY, which is a little further, is giving...

About to pull the trigger - some final questions

Just to clarify, I don't think there's any funny business going on with the year. This wasn't a final build sheet. This was an initial quote. He said it was easier for him to crunch the numbers quickly since he had a '13 already on the floor and in his system. I guess he would have had to start...

About to pull the trigger - some final questions

Just did a test drive - everything awesome. I'm about to pull the trigger on a rock bottom 2014 RS SM5, which supposedly takes 2-3 weeks to order. What's the invoice price? MSRP of the '14 is $14,899. I got an initial quote of $13,999 + $695 freight, but the sheet says "2013", the dealer...

Help me decide - RS, RS-S or ST

So, the dealer says the Demo ST won't be "ready" until the 1st weekend of April. I guess these things aren't like cars where you roll out of bed into a dealership and they are happy to give you the keys to the exact model you're considering. I was hoping to be buying by the 1st weekend of April...

New BRP Sport Rear Fender - Installed

Nice! It definitely looks much better than the stock fender. I find it interesting that when purchasing a new Spyder, the sport fender is a $299 option, while buying it separately is $299. I'm assuming when you purchase a new Spyder with the option, they don't give you the stock fender to...

Help me decide - RS, RS-S or ST

This was very helpful. This is not a well advertised feature of the RS-S, I wouldn't of thought of it if you didn't mention it. So I've been thinking about the cruise control since and now I think I definitely want it. To update you guys, I tried to schedule a test drive and they said their...

Help me decide - RS, RS-S or ST

Thanks, I'm going to try to test drive them all, but the closest dealer, which is not so close, is very small, so I doubt they will have all 3 in SM5 in stock. I guess I'm really curious whether the new enhance VSS for the '14 RS-S is worth it or the RS is peppy enough. BTW, does the SM5 have...

Help me decide - RS, RS-S or ST

Hey guys, I'm a former 2-wheeler but I want to sell/trade-in my 2 bikes for the Spyder for safety reasons. I've been ready to buy the Spyder for almost a year now, but I've been waiting for the weather to warm up so I can test drive them, which I think I'm going to schedule for next weekend...
