• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

175/55R-15 VREDESTEIN QUATRAC 5 SL for 2014 RTL fronts

I know folks are using them. I’ve seen that on here. It’s why I ordered them. I am giving you guys info that I am currently experiencing. I can’t at this point explain why my situation is as it is, but I am going to look at some other 2014 RT Limiteds and see if I can discern the reason.

175/55R-15 VREDESTEIN QUATRAC 5 SL for 2014 RTL fronts

All of the above. Tread is rubbing the screws holding clearance light on on both sides. They are Vredestein Quatrac 5’s in 175/55 R15.

175/55R-15 VREDESTEIN QUATRAC 5 SL for 2014 RTL fronts

I had a set of those exact tires mounted for the front of my 2014 RT Limited. Would not fit under the fenders. Rub badly. Have to regroup now and find a size to fit. Love the look of the tires, though.

    Rear suspension question

I don’t hear my compressor kick in in the last few days. Ride is rough. I adjust my suspension with the rocker switch to mid range. Drive for a while and look at the suspension gage again and it shows in manual mode. Only way to get back to adjustable is to kill the bike and restart. Then the...

    Brembo rear brake caliper

I let my piston extend fully by not removing brake cable. My bad. Pulled pads and used needle nosed pliers and pressure for 45 minutes with no progress and a very sore shoulder. Made due with a crude piece made and a clamp. The clamp could exert enough pressure to rotate piston back in. All good...

    Brembo rear brake caliper

Anybody have the dimensions of the piston diameter and hole size and spread so I can make a tool to compress piston? The kits you get from the auto parts stores do not have one that fits.

    Rear tire wear

I think I was unclear. The 19,000 miles was on two Kendas before I tried the Vee. As I said, I have a General coming. Will try that and see what happens. Thanks for all the input folks.

    Rear tire wear

Got it apart. Bearings smooth as silk. Belt alignment was spot on. Everything but the tire looks great. The Vee tire was installed at a dealer. Have a General Altimax coming.

    Rear tire wear

    Good info guys. Thanks.

    Rear tire wear

Agreed. Tire pressure in my opinion can't cause this wear. Skeptical about the tire itself doing it. My opinion is an alignment issue of some sort. Front to back alignment would cause scuffing. None present. Only the right side tread. Wreaks of more contact on that side. Just got home from...

    Rear tire wear

No, it is to the cloth cord. I run the tire at 28 psi. Left side of the tire looks new. Is it possible awheel bearing is the cause?

    Rear tire wear

Had a new rear tire installed about 1000 miles ago. Old tire was worn down, but evenly. Roughly 19,000 on a factory tire. The tire I had mounted and installed was a Vee Arachnid. Trailered the bike to Comfort, Texas from home. Rode The Three Twisted Sisters on Saturday and then some. Put over...

    Front brake clicking

Brake clicking Thanks guys. I've jacked it up and spun the wheel with tire on and off. Can't feel anything. The chamfering sounds promising. Never thought about that. Used permatex brand "Disc Brake Quiet" on the back of each pad on initial assembly as per the can's instructions. Again, thanks...

    Front brake clicking

I changed the front brakes on my 2014 Spyer RT Limited. All looked good. Used EBC pads. Brakes work great. There is however a fast, slight clicking noise in the left front brake that varies with speed only when brakes are applied. Quiet at any other time. Took wheel back apart and see nothing...
