• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I went with the vector for the interior shape. I am almost certain that the profile is a little more oval than I really need. I have heard of the vectors being a little more oval than expected, but not as much as the profile. That should serve me well. I knew up front about the non-removable...

    Brake squeal!

This is kind of how mine is...that and braking in reverse. It's not much, but it is annoying on a bike with only 800 miles. Chris :spyder:

    Scala G4 Review

Just noticed that I never did update this... I ended up going a full week with no charging needed (500 miles total). At the end of the week, it still did not indicate a weak battery. Last Saturday, we planned a nice long trip, so I went ahead and charged it. All in all, I am very pleased...

Looking into the future of the RT

    1) provisions for a stock heated seat. 2) intercom and headset connections should have been factory installed. Intercom should not be built into the CB. The current setup is entirely too costly considering all of the aftermarket options. 3) rear trunk light. It is the little considerations...

    Hot Weather Gear

Mesh jacket/pants, t-shirt, jeans, armored riding boots, full face helmet, mesh gloves. Sometmes I will crack the visor some when fogging or brutally hot. Although there is generally no humidity here, 100+ degrees is not uncommon during the summer...reinforced with 20-30 mph winds. No, these are...

    Arai Helmet Online Retailers

You are correct. I had Teamzilla dollars saved up from previous purchases that drove the price cheaper at Revzilla. Also, I like their return policy better and they process/ship orders quickly. Typically, I receive items from Revzilla in about 4 business days with their standard free shipping...

Thanks for all the input. I ended up ordering a vector from Revzilla since they were much cheaper and have a good reputation for customer service. Chris :spyder:

Handles very well in 35-45mph WIND gusts

I assure you that the wind moves you more than the bike. Relax your grip. My grip consists of very light finger pressure. I push with the heel of my hands to steer and make corrections. Chris :spyder:

Handles very well in 35-45mph WIND gusts

I could not agree more. We have been 2 up in gusts in excess of 50mph stock everything. When my wife is happy on the back, I am happy. She was happy...less the helmets we have. They are heavy, cheap and poorly balanced. Easy fix. Chris :spyder:

    Arai Helmet Online Retailers

Need to know opinions of which online retailers that sell Arai helmets are the best regarding return policy for sizing, value, customer service and shipment speed. I despise retailers that claim to have items in stock when they do not. Please reserve helmet quality opinions for a different...

Drove the RT and the RS today

Thanks for sharing this. I am still trying to understand what all the ruckus is about with the RT's handling. Perhaps my problem is that I do not have a RS to compare with. As far as I am concerned the RT handles fine, but I do not try to compare it to any two wheeler I have riden either. It is...

    Touring gas mileage

I have been averaging between 25-30mpg. Number of riders doesn't seem to have much of an affect. Prevailing winds affect it greatly. It's fairly flat here so I cannot speak to hills. My analog gauge is consistent and steady, but it is in the red after about 80 miles. I can generally put about 3...

    Passenger Armrests

I did not know of that incident when I asked this question, but this was the reason I was interested in these. I am hoping for a design that swings up to facilitate getting on/off the bike not swing out like some of the wing versions I have seen. Chris :spyder:
