• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Heading for the Hills!

Should always take unfamiliar routes with caution...particularly when the ride's handling is unfamiliar as well with the given condition of the route. In many cases, the limiting factor is the rider, not the machine. Most two wheelers should eat up a trike in the "twisties". Again, depends on...

    Rear Ended

In the fourth picture the brace looks like it dented your exhaust some...may not be the case. It is hard to tell in that picture angle. Glad you are ok! Any idea how fast he was going? Do you think that fender saved your tire? :spyder: Chris :doorag:

Engine groan while going 1/2 throttle to 3/4 or higher to WOT

This is based only on a test drive..... At the speeds you mentioned above, I was a gear down from where you indicated you were. The engine seemed strong and smooth at those RPMs. I never found fifth gear even at speeds approaching 70mph. I have no idea if that is contributing to what you are...

    Helmet Suggestion....

I wonder if they are using the same visor for both shell sizes. Maybe it causes a gap on one shell size, but not the other? :dontknow: Just speculating..... Chris

    Helmet Suggestion....

Webbikeworld rated this helmet. The EXO-1000 was rated "acceptable" for the visor due to the exact visor gap issue mentioned above. It was also rated "acceptable" for noise levels. Finally, rated "poor" for airflow. I'm sticking with the Arai. :doorag: Chris

    GS Fuel Mileage

Regarding averages, I agree. One fillup can be a data point, however. There are different variables as you imply. The more you reduce/eliminate those variables, the more accurate your data is. Alternatively, the more data points you have, the more believable your data is...at least...

    GS Fuel Mileage

Too much time in the incorrect gear on the :spyder:? :dontknow: I would think the wing would be more forgiving with that flat 6. Just a guess.... :coffee: Chris

    Intercom

I plan on going with the Scala G4. Much cheaper and decent reviews. I also plan to add a Zumo 665 when they release. That unit has xm built in and should work with the G4. Still waiting on delivery of the bike so I cannot comment on how well this setup will work. Chris
