• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2020 RTL Seat strut barely holds the seat open - ideas?

Hey, Thanks so much for this. I tried the helper spring approach. It worked fine on my trunk, but the minute I added a spring to the seat, the spring started hitting the bodywork. I just ordered the 30 lb strut. Again, thank you so very much.

Anybody installed Slingmods Bumper for 2020+ RT??

I'd be interested in this also. The only other bump skid I'm aware of is from Halo, and that's a hard acrylic, basically to add under body lights, not much protection. I read the instructions for the Slingmods Bumper. The rear mounts to the frame. I couldn't find anything about supporting...

Anyone installed Mirror turn signals on their RT? '23 S2S

These are mine from Lamonster. I still don't know why the North American RTs don't have the mirror mounted turn signals, that are readily available elsewhere. https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?156163-My-2024-Model-Reveal-Review&p=1683310&viewfull=1#post1683310

Excellent video. Pierre does a great job of explaining things.

Has anybody installed the OEM adjustable wind deflectors on 2020+ RTL?

I just installed them on my 2020 RTL. Not bad, but they are definitely the "value brand". They are 50% the price of OEM, and probably 70% of the quality, so it's a good bargain, but still lower quality. Only time will tell how well they hold up. In the meantime, I'm still keeping the OEM...

Has anybody installed the OEM adjustable wind deflectors on 2020+ RTL?

Thanks Dwight. I agree with you wholeheartedly, but the 2020+ design is different. The wind deflectors are smaller than the ones on your bike. Here's what I'm looking at:

Has anybody installed the OEM adjustable wind deflectors on 2020+ RTL?

I know the Baker Airwings are better. I'd like to focus on the OEM, or rather the OEM style adjustable wind deflectors, similar to what is offered on the S2S model. They are available on Amazon for about $100 for a complete set, upper and lower. They seem pretty small. I'm just wondering if...

    What's needed to Install a Zumo 590 on a 2022 RT Ltd?

Best solution. The older I get, I find the tool I use most is my checkbook.

Any advice on side luggage compartments that won't open?

Mikey4201: Yes. mecsw500 is 500% correct. Here is the specific TSB. Contact your dealer with this information and they will replace your cables at no cost to you. I had mine replaced after breaking a latch. Now the bags open with almost no pressure on the latch. As always, my free...

    DESS Key code again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 2020 RTL. I thought I'd be safe from the DESS monster, but I've read of others that have had DESS issues with the 2020+ models. I had my DESS disabled while I was at SpyderQuest. I've been assured that this is permanent. In other words, if or when BRP issues a firmware update for my...

How can I use a USB Music Stick as an Audio Source?

The short answer is NO, you can't use your usb stick as a music source. If you have some kind of MP3 player or IPOD you can connect the 3.5 mm barrel connector in the glove box as the AUX source, but you cannot use the bike controls to scroll through the tunes, only change the volume of the...

Will Using 87 Octane impact performance?

This is an older thread and a very long one, so I'm sure someone must have posted these same comments. My riding style leans more towards touring, less on performance. I find very little difference between 87 and 91 octane, with the exception of cost. Running 87 octane gives me far more value...

Will RonBar help with Drifting on Secondary Roads with Crowns?

Hey, whatever happened? Did you get things straightened out ? PUN INTENDED

Will RonBar help with Drifting on Secondary Roads with Crowns?

From your description, the short answer is NO. The RonBar is exceptionally helpful around turns. The drifting due to crowning and uneveness may be due to air pressure, or alignment. If the alignment was bad, it wouldn't track on good roads as you've describes.. If the air pressure is too high...

A New way of selecting Reverse on the 2024's......

HUNH?????? Am I understanding this? Instead of reaching over right to left to hit a button, you now have to advance the throttle ?? So you run the engine rpm up and THEN put it in reverse ?? Even with the brake engaged, wouldn't that hurt the transmission ?

    My '2024 Model Reveal' Review

I agree. The one gripe I share as an android user is the whole electronic upgrade is useless. The physical upgrades just consist of colors. I'm still not understanding why there are no turn signals on the mirrors, forcing North American customers to buy them from third parties like Lamonster...

2020+ SEAT Strut issues - a different solution!

This is a long thread, and I haven't read all the posts, so I apologize if my comments have already been made. I'm having a similar issue with my seat strut. I had the same problem with my trunk lid and the helper spring is an inexpensive and very successful repair. I tried the helper spring on...

Any ideas/advice on raising foot boards 6" for driver?

Thanks Pete. No. Not at all. I'm thinking of someone who rode with the Maryland Spyder Web. I saw him on the New Holland ride in Amish country. I'm sorry, but I can't find any photos of the set-up.

Any ideas/advice on raising foot boards 6" for driver?

6" is quite a bit of rise. I once saw a Spyder driven by a little person. He didn't raise the floorboards, rather he had platforms mounted on top of the floorboards which raised the foot level about 5 or 6 inches. Of course, there was a custom-made brake pedal, and if I recall correctly, he also...
