• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Union Pacific Big Boy locomotive

35 tons of coal per 100 miles when it burned coal. Now 25 gallons of waste oil burned per mile. What a massive logistical problem to keep it moving for this excursion.

Any advice on adjusting toe on the front wheels? Is the job doable without BUDS?

We are a Rolo Laser alignment shop and located in North Houston. We also do all the alignment referrals for the local dealerships.

2016 RT Steering 'Chirps' - any adjustments to fix this, or is this the DPS going?

Its your alternator drive slipping. The easiest solution to get rid of it is by upgrading your oil. I can confirm, at least on my bike, switching to Amsoil 10W40 Metric motorcycle oil got rid of the noise. Lots of 2024 and up Spyders are having this issue from new.

Is the Alternator shaft squeal just a nuisance, or is it damaging anything?

Solved mine. I was skeptical but within a few hours riding time on the new oil, the noise is gone. I have put approx 2500 miles on the bike since.

Can I get GPS on my 2024 S2S 10.25" screen; or GPS Software/Hardware, Apples to Oranges, or maybe not...

BRP did indeed change direction and make CarPlay vs BRP Go optional. You can now use either. Trouble is, the new BRP Go does not work any better than the old one pre 2024. IE its a frustrating mess that will not work for a trip. Mostly useless. Get a Garmin.

There really are no alternatives to the Can Am reverse trikes

There is also the problem with the patents on the VSS that Bosch and BRP have an iron grip on. Harley actually built reverse trike prototypes and ran headlong into the brick wall of patent licensing. BRP flatly refuses to license the tech to anyone at any price. The way the patents are...

Has anyone been able to add a Bluetooth Backup Camera & get it to display on a 2024+ dash?

I have never seen a bluetooth backup camera. The bluetooth protocol does not support video data. Please post a link to what you are considering.

Rear tire options - any suggestions?

Trouble is the Kenda is not true to the nominal size. We sell and install Yokohama ADVAN 205/55R15 and they are exactly the same outside diameter as the oem Kenda and less than 1/8" narrower. You have to compare actual dimensions, not nominal size because like every other specification, junk...

Battery Query - Does the Can-Bus system cause a battery drain?

Yuasa Factory Activated batteries have date code on them. You can see exactly how long its been since they were activated. I have never gotten one in that was more than 90 days old. Usually less than 30.

Complete BUDS3 V800 kit now available from PowerSports Diagnostics

BUDS2 works just fine on 2026 Spyders. For independent shops, the update is not yet mandatory. The new interface module is also VERY expensive. Its not just a software update.

Anybody replaced the rear tire on their Canyon yet? If so, with what?

We sell and install Yokohama tires. For the Yokohama, an ADVAN 205/55R15 is the exact same overall height as the oem Kenda 225/50/15. This will vary by brand and model tire. The size numbers are NOMINAL, not actual dimensions. 55 vs 50 are aspect ratios, not heights.

Anybody replaced the rear tire on their Canyon yet? If so, with what?

That is much taller than the OEM tires and would likely upset the VSS or ABS calculations and set a limp home code. 205/55 is the exact same as OEM height, 205/60 is already a bit taller.

Anybody replaced the rear tire on their Canyon yet? If so, with what?

Yokohama ADVAN 205/55R15. Have installed dozens of them.

What did you pay for your 9,000 mile service?

No, but if you have a warranty issue later, BRP will ask you to prove the service was done with receipts.

What did you pay for your 9,000 mile service?

Spark plugs are not due at 9000 miles. Not even close. Its just an oil change and inspections.

Looking for a 2008 GS Master Key - any ideas?

There does exist master keys for the 2008 thru 2013 Spyders. They are used to put the DESS into programming mode to learn a new key. Easily recognized because the head of the key is red. No longer available from BRP but a few shops including mine still have one.

Are these Dealer charges normal? Fair?

Be careful on your warranty start date. It DOES NOT start on the date it is first sold. Its starts on the In Service date. If the bike had 200 miles on it, it was likely a demo bike and was placed in service some time ago. Get the dealer to verify the in service date as that is when your...
