• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are Dealers 'dumping' New-Old-Stock Spyders instead of selling latest models?

It is not unusual for new (old stock) machines being sold a year or two later. I bought my 22 F3S last July so it was a year old, a discount on the MSRP and additional warranty were offered. You may be able to get additional credit off the price for the accessories etc. I don't know who owns...

How does Can-Am Test New Spyders? Should I be concerned?

Sorry folks, I did not say the dealers take the machines out for a road test where they pin them to achieve the top speed you see on the display. My dealer does have a stand for the skidoos and a stand for the spyder and other vehicles I mentioned where they check track alignment, belt...

How does Can-Am Test New Spyders? Should I be concerned?

Both my 22 F3S and my 22 Renegade XRS 900 R were run up to maximum at the dealership during the dealer prep prior to sale. I haven't seen any negative side effects on any of my many skidoos, sxs, outlanders, seadoos or spyder. After I bring them home I follow the break in as per the owners...

    Two Oil Observations ... I think ...

You have a good question but I don't believe that anyone can answer for you. You will have to decide for yourself when the oil should be changed and the only way that I found that works for me is taking an oil sample and have it analyzed to see what the used viscosity is and what wear metals...

Does the Spyder have an Altidude reading?

My 22 F3S has a combination air temp/pressure sensor #17 on the air box parts list that will compensate for changes in air temperature and changes in altitude as you ride during the trip. That leads me to believe that the fuel injection system in the Spyder automatically compensates for these...

Anyone purchased BEST Extended Warranty in Canada?

I don't purchase extended warranty on anything including sleds, quads, sxs or seadoos and so far I have saved a bunch of money. JMO

Why should I consider upgrading the shocks? What should I expect if I do?

The choice of what you buy is up to you but most people tend to recommend what they bought. Do your own research before you buy. Some of the former sponsors carry aftermarket shock/spring packages as well. The only shock/spring package that I have bought is the Elka 2 for the F3S but I have had...

Burning Pain in Shoulder Blades - seating, handlebars, or helmet? Any ideas??

I rode with Ron yesterday and he said it was better with the new bars, hopefully he will be by to reply himself. I find that using cruise when possible, constantly changing my hand position, rolling my shoulders and changing the angle of lean has pretty much eliminated my shoulder pain. Our...

Review: Install and first impression for Lidlox (helmet handlebar lock)

I was wondering what that buzzing sound was in my helmet but no bees in my bonnet.

Review: Install and first impression for Lidlox (helmet handlebar lock)

I installed the Lidlox on my left handle bar; (22F3S) it took about 10 minutes and was very easy to do. My helmet locks to the handlebar with the T Bar going through the slide on the helmet where the chin strap ratchet is inserted to hold your helmet in place when riding. It is supplied with the...

Why should I consider upgrading the shocks? What should I expect if I do?

Check out my review if you like: Install and 1 st ride on the Elka Stage 2 spring and shock package on 22 F3S @ 2300 m. The F3S with the Elka Stage 2 is pricey but brings heavier springs (no bottoming), should be set for your weight, passenger weight and luggage to give you the correct ride...

Has anybody heard any rumors on the 2025 Spyder Models? New line-up released!

Adaptive Cruise Control came on my GMC AT4 and is a great way to keep traffic from flowing normally on a 2 lane hi-way because everyone slows down and you get a long queue. Another (safety feature) that is completely useless except for those drivers that are on their cell phones and not looking...

2023 RT Engine Noise - I'd be hard pressed to recommend them!

Warranty items have a tortuous path that usually requires the dealer to open a case file with BRP and the dealership follows the directions issued by BRP until the process is diagnosed and resolved. It is frustrating but it is not unique to BRP. Hopefully your problem will be resolved soon and...

What's in your saddle bags and frunk?

In the frunk: air compressor, small tools, rain suit, octane boost, bottle of water, owner's manual, and registration. In the mono seat cowl: small first aid kit, booster start pack, gloves, fire lighter, and a set of Torx wrenches. My Shad bags stay at home unless I plan an over-nighter or a...

Review: Alberta Lithium LiFePo4 LFP 20L-BS battery - failed at 1 month?!

My new LiFeP04 battery died after about a month in my Spyder so I replaced it with a new Yuasa 350 CCA, the same one as supplied with the new 2024 Spyders. I am disappointed in the LiFeP04 batteries early demise and am not sure what failed in the battery but when I got a no dash, no start the...

Any pros or cons to running cat bypass with original muffler?

I did not install the baffle that came with my delete pipe because it was a choke (calculated to approximately 23% of the flow area). The pipe without baffle was louder and popped and farted on deceleration, so I built my own baffles from plate steel (see my post.) and it took the rap and bark...

Did you get the email about Electric Can Am two wheelers?

I don't have any interest for a Hybrid or an EV vehicle of any type. I have an EGO chainsaw, leaf blower and string trimmer and many hand tools of various brands and although they are lighter and easier to use, they are not my first choice at this time. I find it hard to justify how burning...
