• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone installed the Rear trunk on a 20/21 std RT?

Not sure what you've got but ALL PRE-2020 RTs have a built in rear trunk. It's part of the body work and can't be removed. If you're referring to the F3T, you can add a trunk. If you're referring to the 2020+ RT base, the only thing difficult about adding the factory trunk is paying over $2,000...

    F3L vs RT muffler

Shawn Smoak said they're different and that the F3T/L muffler has a deeper sound. He also said they're interchangable. I'd love to swap my RT muffler for an F3T/L muffler of the same year.

Shifting from reverse to neutral - usually goes straight to first! Why?!

My 2021 RT does the same as the OP (and apparently just about everyone else). When I shift from reverse, it goes into 1st. Doesn't matter how light I touch the shifter paddle. I don't know what's SUPPOSED to happpen but it appears this is what DOES happen. Kind of annoying but you get used to it...

    Ragtop suggestions

Between my fat arse and the fact that I carry, "glove fitting tight" may not work. I'll have to try one on. I like the looks of the Saturn Sky but it looks pretty small. I don't have a garage or the mechanical ability to really work on anything other than the basics. Good idea, though.

    Ragtop suggestions

LOL. I went to a local Slingshot dealer about a month ago. I could (sort of) get in one but if I had to get out quickly, it wouldn't happen. I'm with you, there. Maybe if I was 100# lighter. I couldn't even get low enough to see the speedo. I'll have to see if there's a 350Z 'vert for sale...

    Ragtop suggestions

I wondered about the size of the Miata. Thanks for letting me know. The rear end of the ragtop 350Z has got to be one of the ugliest things I've ever seen but I guess I don't need to look back, eh? :) I've thought about a 'Stang but the newer ones are WAY out of my price range.

    Ragtop suggestions

I might be in the market for a ragtop. I want something sporty but doesn't have to be supercar class. It has to corner well and when I want to pass, well...I want to pass. I'd prefer an automatic but wouldn't turn down a stick. I'd like something relatively modern but doubt I'll get many/any of...

How do you dress for a ride?

Sox, Crocs, leather chaps and a helmet. Nothing more, nothing less.

    2021 RT remove mirror trim?

Front cap just pops off. It's held on with clips. You don't need to remove that to adjust the mirror, though. Just push on the side of the mirror itself. It'll move.

    Adjustable RT Air Wings 2020 / 2021

I agree but it's spelled "nekkid". I tend to slide off the seat.

    Anyone know what this is?

    PTO for your farm implements.

    Windshield damage ??

Couple things to suggest. First, it might be a good time to chop the windscreen. That way you wouldn't have to look through it. Second, if you need a new/different windscreen, I have quite a few you could choose from. I seem to be collecting them. :)

    RT Top Case

Yup. (4) nuts, bolts and washers. Plus some rubber spacers (1/4" should do it). You'll also need either a 3" hole saw or a Dremel to cut the center hole to access the circular lock on the LinQ rack. I think I've got a write up on site somewhere for this. If not, PM me and I'll send you some pics.

    RT Top Case

Nice that they knocked $400 off but that's still a LOT of money. It wouldn't be worth it to me. It comes with speakers and the USB charging ports. To install, you have to remove the passenger seat the lift up on the rear (body colored) cover then gently pull it off the bike. You might have to...

Armor all on tires - does it do anything

What everyone else said. Armor All (and it's kin) are worthless unless you're only using it once in a great while for a car/bike show. Use it on a regular basis, especially on your tires and you can expect to buy new tires sooner rather than later. Plus, if you happen to get any on the tire...

    BRP adjustable handlebar

The adjustable "handlebar" is actually an adjustable riser. Flip the lever and you can move the bars up/back as much as 2". At 5'6", I'd suggest short reach bars. They're cheaper and easier to find. If you look in the For Sale section, someone may even be selling them cheap.

Anyone tried Can Am's Adj Upper/Lower Wind Deflectors For 2020 on?

Quite a few of us have. They do a very good job. Easy to swap out, too. Well worth the $200 price tag.

    2020 limited 75-80 MPH

It's a common occurence. I added one of Lamonsters belt tensioners to my '18 and again on my current '21. It eliminated the issue. The drive belt is so long, it produces some harmonic vibrations. Some have been able to eliminate it (or at least lessen it) by loosening the tension in the belt...

21 RT Ltd - what does the usb plug in glove box do?

You can charge your phone with the USB port in the glovebox but you'll need to add an inline data blocker. Amazon has them for under 10 bucks. That USB port doesn't just supply power but also a data connection to the bike. Unless you want BuRP Connect (and most don't), the data blocker will only...

    ScanGauge 2 mounting bracket

It wasn't so much that it wasn't a good car but that it just wasn't my "style". It got good gas mileage and was pretty roomy for what it is (it's not a Suburban :) ). The features on the lower 2 trim levels (LX and EX) are lacking. The EX-L (which I had) and the Touring (which, if I were to buy...
