• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2024 RT L back at the dealer for the 9th time in 3 months!! How long until you give up?

I have had three new spyders since 2020 and from two different dealers. No issues on any. Adding “accessories” can sometimes cause some unintended consequences. The bike can get a little quirky.

Did an upgrade Sway Bar improve your handling? Which one? And what about Shocks?

I am assuming that this is your first experience with a Spyder? That said, with only a few weeks in the saddle and not giving the bike or yourself much of a chance to get used to one another, do not make hasty decisions as to what you may think you might need to do to the bike! Being a new...

    Define "Old"

Age is how you feel physically and mentally. The number on the birth certificate only sates how long you been breathing. True as we accumulate breathing years we do slow down and can’t do some of the things we like to do. Adapt and inprovise.

Battery/Starting slow spin - is this common & why doesn't it start like a normal motorcycle?

I had a new 2020 RTL and the starter seemed slower than what I was expecting, but I did not have any issues. Moving forward, I traded it for a new 2022 F3L and ditto with the starter. After several years, I began getting VSS alerts after start-up, so I replaced the stock battery with a Battery...

Is there a better antennae for a 2023 Spyder RT Limited?

Sirius XM subscription and a phone blue-toothed to the bike solves many radio reception issues.

Any feedback or Comments on the complexity of the RTL?

I bought my first Spyder in 2020. Rode from one end of the country to the other. Traded it in 2022 for a new F3L. Rode it everywhere. Traded that in on new 2024 F3L and I am now riding it just like others. I have not had any issues on trips or otherwise. The only things that did not hold up were...

About to pull the trigger on a 2023 or 2025 Spyder RT Dark - what am I really paying for? Any other major considerations on differences?

Consider a leftover 2024. New dash and handlebar layout- better than 2023 and same as 2025. Dealers have inventory of those on hand with discounted pricing.

Anyone purchased from an out of town dealer? Is this common? Any concerns?

I traded my 2022 F3L in on a 2024 F3L over the phone with a dealer several States away. I drove to it, and after several hours and paperwork, I was headed back home. My first and second Spyder's were done the same way with different out of State dealers, and then too, no issues.

When Only On Street Angled Parking is available, do you back in, or drive in?

Pull in, make it easy, there's a reason for having reverse. You don’t see cars stop and back in…

Hot ride in between Frederick and Raleigh

I ride up town in the mornings around 6:30 to work out, then to Panera’s for breakfast. The asphalt temps are getting warm by the time I head home.

What's the difference between F3 Ltd & F3-T? Anyone switched fm RT?

When I traded my 2017 Harley Ultra in on a new 2020 RTL, I struggled to like the feeling of sitting on top of a bike and gravity in curves fighting me. I traded that later for a new 2022 F3L Limited and I liked how now I felt to be part of the bike again. This year, I traded for a new 2024 F3L...

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

I would say get a 2020 or newer Spyder because of the changes made. It takes some miles in the seat to really understand the characteristics of the Spyder as opposed to other like s before making any decisions as to whether it is a bike for you. This may be why you see newer bikes for sale...

Where to find the RT-L Air filter - it's not where my Owner's Manual suggests!

Confusion comes sometimes by the method of right side vs left side as to how it is perceived. That is standing in front of bike as opposed to sitting on bike.

First ride after adding seat gel hoping for more comfort, but nope, no change! What to do? Anybody made theirs better?

Seats do need to be broken in before making a final assessment. Just like making judgements on how the bike handles, you'll need to put some time in the saddle first, and that may take a bunch of miles.
