• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Random thought for the day

I have settled on Hart cordless tools. That way I have the same battery for everything. They used to be made in the USA but are now made by the same company that makes Milwaukie in China. DIY at home they are pretty good quality.

Spyder origins?? Or The Ultimate?? Just Go For It!

Yes I had a Maico. Sold it to someone who wanted it more than me. All I have now is a 175 Montesa Texas Scrambler and a Can Am SxS Commander X. You still have a Can Am MX, I am impressed.

New 2010 Spyder owner - First issue - Check engine light

Did you get the original owners manual with it? If so, one of you should spend a lot of time reading it. Also, one of you should spend time reading the thread on Do's and Do Not's for new Spyder riders (see the link below), especially the early posts that apply to older V-Twin motor, which is...

Spyder origins?? Or The Ultimate?? Just Go For It!

I love it, what a great idea. 50 years ago I could have had one of those to go with the 400 Maico and Capra 360 Fun Fun Fun. Thanks Ron @Bfromla, what a magnificent beast!

    Riding in the Heat

I have a MotoJug system which gives me 1 gallon of ice water. There are many ways to stay hydrated, but staying cool is nice also. And many new riders are not aware of the drying affects of riding. A reminder never hurts. So if you came here first, go back and read post #1

    Riding in the Heat

I thought this deserved to be brought up again as we get into hot weather. I know as I advance in age, illness, and medications I tolorate heat less and less.

Losing a bit of faith in Can Am - enjoy the riding, but not the endless waiting while they find parts and fix all the niggling issues!

Try an online parts house and see if they are any better. I have used Can Am Parts King with good success.

Trailer hitches - will a 2011 Swing arm hitch fit on a 2024 Limited?

Will a hitch from a 2011 fit on the swing arm of a 2024 RT Limited. My friend is buying a 2024 RT Limited and wants to know if his hitch will fit. He has an RT-622 Trailer with low miles. The hitch is a BRP hitch mounted on a 2011 RT. TIA. His 2011 has become a boat anchor.

    A New Trend is Happening

I had an 83, an 86, 87, 88, 08, and an 08 RSV. I loved that v4 motor. I put close to half a million miles on various ones. Wrecking the 08 RSV is what put me on trikes.

Has anyone used the Semi rigid bag on their RT? Thoughts?

I have all 4 bags (trunk also) as that is what came with my Spyder. I use all but the small trunk bag. I like the large frunk bag the best. I also have a cooler bag from Walmart that fits in the frunk that I use on day trips and a soft bag that fits in the well at the rear for tools. Spare...
