• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any Suggestions for new Riding Footwear?

Yes, I just bought these as it doesn't rain very much here in the high deserts of the west and I can just chuck a roll of these in the frunk for the very few occasions I get caught out in a thunderstorm. Tour Master boot covers are a far more professional solution and don't look quite so silly...

Has anyone else had Update issues from their dealer on their 2025 Spyder?

Latest firmware update took me to V 5.1.0. No you can switch between Apple CarPlay and BRP Go! as the solution for maps. I tried the BRP Go! latest app on the iPhone and find it pretty awful to be honest. The UI seems to be way point coordinates based, which is useful for marine and off road...

Planning on riding Southern NJ to Raleigh NC (June '26) - Any Recommendations/Suggestions Please?

My wife started riding on my motorcycles when we got married 30 odd years ago. She discovered she loved it. We went through a series of BMWs and Triumphs, but eventually my arthritis made large two wheel touring bikes a problem for me. I'd had two wheeled machines since my late teens in the...

Can I use a splitter for Multi USB connections?

Yes, the USB socket in the top box is a power connection only. Using a USB splitter in there will allow you to charge two devices simultaneously. There is no data connection to the bike via that port. It provides more power than the USB connection in the glove box at the front I believe. Some...

Spyder decisions - any suggestions on what to buy as my first Spyder?

I would consider the bit you state you are a very aggressive rider. No Spyder is going to be as fast as any decent performance motorcycle. It's like 800 or 900 lbs, plus rider, being pushed along by a 1330 cc high torque engine, making 115 bhp on a good day. Even with performance exhausts and...

Engine Trouble - intermittently won't start! Any ideas on what to look for?

If the engine cranks and whilst it is cranking you should see the rev counter respond. If the rev counter doesn't move then there is a possible crank sensor problem. They are notoriously finicky sensors that often get killed by heat and then become intermittent depending upon heat cycles and...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I don't do tornadoes. We had one once in Salt Lake many years ago. I'm not very keen on those things.

First time ride on my Spyder today - I think I'm gonna like it!

The first and only time I crossed the Tacoma Narrows bridge it was a very windy day. I think I got up to 15 mph with a death grip on the steering wheel. I took the ferry back to Seattle and drove the long way around back to Olympia. I was in an SUV, not even on a Spyder. If I have to go back to...

My wrench list - what do I need for front brake & wheel removal?

I'd carry the sockets for a tire shop to be able to remove the wheel in their attempt to replace a tire as 36mm is possibly not commonly found. It wouldn't be for me to use at the roadside.

My wrench list - what do I need for front brake & wheel removal?

I would carry enough to do wheel removal for punctures. I’d check on brakes etc before leaving and just carry the things required to get the rear wheel out or the front wheels off. After that, an adjustable wrench and a screw driver with cross head bits for the battery, Torx bits and a panel...

Any Suggestions for new Riding Footwear?

I keep a roll of these in the frunk for when I’m caught out in heavy rain. They are not so silly if you put them on and pull your waterproof pant legs down over them. They are cheap and do the job. I got them from Amazon and I find they work great. SATINIOR 40 Pieces/ 20 Pairs Disposable Boot...

Can I use a splitter for Multi USB connections?

Probably not. These splitters are used for power only. You could try a small unpowered USB hub. Beware, even if the cable does support a hub, the connection does not provide a lot of power.

Engine Trouble - intermittently won't start! Any ideas on what to look for?

How about the Crank Position Sensor failing intermittently?

Any Suggestions for new Riding Footwear?

These are the Georgia Boot Company boot's I wear. https://georgiaboot.com/collections/mens-protective-toe/products/gb00284?variant=51274555490625 They will only fit down to a women's 9.5 or a men's 8. If you go to their website, select women's, and then filter on protective toe, there's a...

Are there any new computer Updates for the 2024 Spyders?

The way to check is: 1. Get the Spyder close to you house or into the garage. Or get close to a reliable Wi-Fi source. 2. Connect the Spyder to the Wi-Fi. Don't run the engine. 3. Optional, but I would do it, connect your Spyder to your battery tender device to stop the voltage dropping too...

Any Suggestions for new Riding Footwear?

And buy quality shoes. For dress shoes I bought Mephistos and they'd last a decade and still look nice. Dansko for clogs, last forever too.

Your Weather News @ June Edition 2026

It was 90°F down here in the valley today according to the weather app. My outside thermometer said 5°F hotter than that. We rode up to Brighton Ski Resort, via the Big Cottonwood Canyon. It was around 75°F up there at about 9,000 feet. Gorgeous weather. Lovely ride. Didn't want to come back...

New Update to BRP GO! app - April 2024

I’m not waiting for an iPhone update, I’m waiting for a user interface rewrite. A Mac or web version would be nice so you can plan routes etc on something larger than a phone. Even the iPad version is just the iPhone version centered in the screen. At the moment it is map coordinate waypoint...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

No, of course not. Just think bright red, beyond fire engine red. Almost luminous it was so red.
