• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Ryker - but need advice for the long ride home?!

Just stay off the interstate and vary speed on the back roads.

    shaft vs belt drive

According to the marketing information about the initial Ryker introduction, shaft drive allowed a lower seating position. However, I think it possible that shaft drive also worked better with the CVT and engineering was repurposed from the CanAm quads.

Will an original Ryker wheel nut socket fit the recall/replacement wheel nuts?

I have used my 2&1/2 inch Klutch brand socket from northern tools to remove and re-torque both front and rear wheel nuts on my Rally model. The socket worked fine before and after the nuts were recalled and only cost about $21.

    2019 Ryker 900 oil leak

BRP changed the oil refill capacity from 3.5 L on the 2019 model to 2.7 L for the 2020 & 21. They even changed the length and color of the dipstick. If you changed your with one of the new 3.0 L oil change kits it will appear that the oil level in your 2019 is low. In reality it is correct...

Floorboards - any experience with A/mkt boards for Rykers?

I too have the Commander boards from Show Chrome (available from several vendors). I have found that my knees and hips are much less sore after extended rides. Furthermore it is easier to lift my butt off the seat for large bumps that previously would have jammed my spine. For me, the...

Ryker Rally front shock spring preload settings.

When I was using the stock Rally shocks I set them at about the 2.5 mark (I weigh 170 suited up). I have since replaced the front shocks with 400 mm shocks I purchased from Amazon. They gave me 1.5" more front end clearance and as SportsterDoc has indicated they provide much better cornering...

    Tilting Ryker????

This would seem to be an example of just because you can doesn't mean you should.

New exhaust questions and recommendation for Ryker

I am also considering an exhaust for my Ryker. I have found an abundance of reviews and sound tests on youtube. However, in my opinion, most are just too loud for my tastes. The new 'Stealth" model from RLS may be the exception.

Anyone tried the Attitude Handlebars on their Ryker?

I put the Can Am cross style bars on mine. They are several inches wider, several inches taller, and several inches further back. I am very satisfied and the riding position is far more comfortable for me. I can sit up more

    Picked up my new Ryker

My records show 5540 RPM at 60 mph and 6380 RPM at 75 MPH for my 2019 model. It does not appear that BRP has changed the final drive ratio or clutch weights.

    Picked up my new Ryker

The part number for the clutch sliders (weights) is the same for the 2019 and 2021 (20281296). However, the part numbers for the final drive assembly are different (705502457 for the 2019 and 705503043 for the 2021). Furthermore the original final drive part number has been replaced by the new...

What Did You Do To Your RYKER Today?

I added a set of the Show Chrome Commander Series floorboards to my Rally the week before the Texas Snowpocalypse; today was the first chance I had to try them out. I was a bit skeptical about adding floorboards as I had never ridden anything with them before and they are sort of pricey...

Ryker Mileage per tank - what do you get?

Some of the differences in MPG may be due to different elevation. Oxygen concentration decreases with elevation and the oxygen sensor reduces fuel delivery to compensate. I have noticed this trend with all of my fuel injected vehicles.

    Broken hood retainer clip

Ravensrest, what are the knobs near the attachment points on your hood? I have a 2019 Rally and do not have the knobs or the little piece with the red insert that is screwed on.

Ryker Mileage per tank - what do you get?

29-31 mpg with my Rally model. I rarely go more than 120 miles on a tank though because I don't like running it dry.

    Where is everybody?

I fully agree. Super bowl day means the roads are relatively clear (at least early in the game). I usually try to take advantage of that.

    Where is everybody?

Hey Krafcik, I responded to your PM and welcome to the forum. I guess I spend more time on this forum when the weather is bad. When the weather is good I leave my computer home.

    Peaceful Ride To Nowhere Today

That being said, I would rather ride at 100 F with 20% humidity in AZ than 95 F with 90% humidity here in East TX.

What is the Ryker Front Wheel hub bore size?

I just went out to the garage and measured the exterior of the hub on mine; it is 1.75 inch. The bore size (for the wheel) should be slightly greater. The inside bore of the hub appears to be 1.5 inch.

    Peaceful Ride To Nowhere Today

I remember a day ride several years ago where I just began exploring small oil-top roads east of Tyler towards the Louisiana border. Every time I came to an intersection I took the smaller road. I finally found a tiny business selling the East Texas equivalent of Natchitoches Meat Pies; they...
