• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any suggestions for a Tail bag? Got any pics &/or names?

Any suggestions for a tail bag? I don't want a monster size duffle bag but something I can leave on in case I have to pick up something that won't fit in the frunk. I've got saddlebags, but I've got my regular crap in them; coat, tire plugs, plus odds and ends I'll probably never use but bring...

    I got another New Helmet!

I had a helmet, an LS2 with a flip down sun visor, and like Racoon, it was my favorite. I found that after more than two hours, it would press on my head right above my eyes and give me one muther of a headache. No padding at all on the brow line. So I ended up switching to a CKX with the flip...

Speedometer accuracy - when I set my Cruise to a certain speed, the speedo doesn't match - any others??

Mines the same, reads about 2kph higher than actual, same deal with the cruise as well, it'll fluctuate 1-2kph.

Any thoughts on this VSS Error & Limp Home Mode? Possibly the battery??

Got a new battery and tested the old one after getting it out. It was off the tender for at least a day so no surface charge, it only tested at 225 CCA on the capacitance tester, load test showed 200A. I think the reason it tested good when I initially tested it, I had just taken it off the...

Anyone know where I can get a Blank (Non Transponder Key) for a Base Can-Am Canyon?

So it's not the Ilco X270? What year is the Canyon? I wouldn't think it would matter base or not. You're doing the same thing I did on mine. I carry the regular key in my wallet since it's flatter and have the transponder key stashed and well hidden under a locking area.

Any thoughts on this VSS Error & Limp Home Mode? Possibly the battery??

I've got a new one ordered, I didn't even bother load testing the old one since it seems it's a somewhat common thing.

Sticky turn signal switch on a 2021 RT Limited - any ideas/fixes?

On my Voyager I've used WD-40 and it works great. If the switches on the Spyders are sealed, I don't think there's a thing you can do other than what has been suggested.

Anyone have a better version of Saddle bag latches?

Yup they do lock and there's nothing to turn. Turning the lock turns the hook and it opens. Yes it is fool proof with no extra mechanical cables, levers, or other things to break. It's just the actual lock tumbler that's cheap and rough, no doubt from road dust and the like getting into the...

Is Ethanol Shield good for winter storage?

Other than the sled, my procedure exactly in Nova Scotia, never had a problem.

Anyone have a better version of Saddle bag latches?

It's a 2015. No need for hip as it's the actual key part of the latches, they look to be the same as what you'd find on an office desk drawer other than the actual hook part. Very chinzy feeling when you insert the key even tho I hit 'em with powdered graphite. No cable, direct you turn the key...

Anyone have a better version of Saddle bag latches?

Anyone have a better version of the latches for the saddles bags on the F3T. The ones on mine I believe are stock and they're cheap and feel it

Is Ethanol Shield good for winter storage?

It doesn't really remove the water, it just binds with it and the fuel and allows it to pass thru your fuel system... at least, that's my take on it. :-) If you're not driving it, I still think a full tank is the best solution to prevent water in the first place. Maybe while driving, it'd be...

Any thoughts on this VSS Error & Limp Home Mode? Possibly the battery??

I don't have a lot of faith in those capacitance testers so I plan on taking it and doing and actual proper load test on it. I usually plug it in to a maintainer but I've been lazy the past week as I usually go out once a day for a spin (haven't for a couple of days) and moving it around to get...

Any thoughts on this VSS Error & Limp Home Mode? Possibly the battery??

Mornin' all. Just bought this, '15 SE6 FE3T, 18,000 kms, a few weeks back and got a 'VSS error, limp home mode' this am. Story behind the drive. Went out for a ride with just my vest on, went about 3km from home and had to go back home for a jacket as it was a bit colder than I thought. Set the...

Battery Tenders - should you use them or not?

I'm a firm believer in them. In saying that, that's the brand I've had the best luck with, and even then I had to get one replaced under warranty that stopped charging. I used to believe in Schumacher, but one last winter fried my new battery on my Voyager by continuously charging at 16V...

New member, thanks for having me - and where's a good place to get these things?

I'm looking at their site but having a hard time figuring out which is mine, 2015 SE6 F3. EDit, just trying out the picture posting, not bad once you get the hang of it :-).

My RT-L first service tomorrow - is one of the 2 drain plugs magnetic? Any advantage to having both magnetic?

Meds will do that, hope they help. I had considered that but then unconsidered it for two reasons. :-) I had ordered new washers and O rings right after I got the bike, so I compared the diameters and the one included with the plug was indeed a smaller ID than the OE. The second reason was that...

    How Much Oil To Add?

I meant to mention also I had checked mine before starting it just for the halibut. The oil level was in the middle of the acceptable range so I'm thinking the previous owner had checked it cold and filled it to a level for a 'normal engine'.

My RT-L first service tomorrow - is one of the 2 drain plugs magnetic? Any advantage to having both magnetic?

Check the included Showchrome transmission drain plug washer's inner diameter. I just changed mine, and the inner diameter of the copper washer was too small, it rode up on the plugs taper from the sealing surface to the main body, instead of sitting flat on the surface. Hopefully, just a fluke...
