• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spyder reliability (long term)

The code clears for your viewing, but will remain in history when connected to BUDS. Your Q as to whether or not you found and repaired the problem is it will stop throwing the P0174 code, or any other lean cylinder codes(orange screen). If, after the vac hoses are replaced it codes again, it...

1330's are great. The 998 does it for me. Always has and always will. Been through thick and thin with issues but never gave up on it. Took some fixing but it's now cleared for launch:doorag:

Any recommendations for Dealing with Hand/Wrist Pain?

Thought. GLUCOSAMINE taken in high dosages has side effects if you take other medications or suffer from other health issues. Google Glucosamine/MSM. MSM is safest when used as a stand alone supplement. fwiw

2008/2013 990/998 V Twin Owners - XPS M Rated Oil versus OTHER Oils Rated API 'M'

It is well documented that Amsoil is Okay. That said, NEW owners of older machines should know, "most oils in the market that say API SM would not meet the specific requirements for Can Am" Simply trying to save NEW folks from some headaches.

2008/2013 990/998 V Twin Owners - XPS M Rated Oil versus OTHER Oils Rated API 'M'

As suspected, but wanted to see it in writing. BRP specially formulated their API M rated oil geared towards use in ALL Spyder's. That said, as noted below. Use of MOST other oil with API M rating is still NOT recommended - Per the 2 responses below from XPS Lubricant representatives. That...

    Spyder reliability (long term)

At the throttle body there are two vacuum lines, their length is critical if you replace. Check them for cracking or loose fit. If you find them OK.....replace them anyway. It is time. If the problem repeats itself after replacing them, you could have a leaking throttle shaft on the throttle...

Car wash soap. It's cheap. Then Pledge or most any quality spray bottle detailer/wax system like liquid ice will help keep it looking spiffy.

    dash update

It's been my experience if SOME techs would spend more time reading forums than they do knocking them, they'd provide us a higher quality service. If they would only do what most of us do. Discount the junk posts and learn from the quality ones.

Has it been your experience that the ball joint problem generally presents itself with a noticeable front end shake?

Just checked my 2011 RT. Engine off, and the free play movement is similar. I'm thinking most of that disappears once the bike is running. At least that's what memory tells me.

Using a horn is “road rage” in CO?

Wish he had written him a ticket and used the Go Pro footage as evidence. In my mind, any Judge worth his salt would have ended up schooling the Napoleon complexed cop.

Have you rechecked the level in the coolant reservoir? It may have been far lower on coolant than just an empty reservoirs worth.

    Kinda hot

116 here yesterday. Was 90 at 7am when I took off this morning. Best riding time is half hour before sunrise till about 10am. Back when I put a lot of bicycle miles in I'd leave at that time too and had one rule then, in by 10am or 110......whichever came first.
