• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How often to use Merlin's Blood?

I bought a couple of bottles over the winter and used them two weeks ago - the stuff is downright amazing. My concern is too much of a good thing and it will corrode or ruin the wheels. Also, is there any worry if some of it splashes onto the breaks? Thanks in advance, Jim

    What makes modular helmets preferrable

I have been reading the recent posts about modular helmets and the preference by some members. I wear a full face and am not comfortable with a 3/4 while reading. I tried it once and felt like something was missing. I am in the market for a new helmet and wondered why a modular was so...

Having dealer use a "car" tire as a replacement on a Spyder

I called a local Spyder repair show concerning replacement of the stock Spyder tires with a car tire. I read the posts of our community saying the last longer and rider better. He would not entertain it and said it was a liability issue. How did other get the replacement done? I am in no way...

Connecting an iPhone to built in USB adapter

I have a 20187 F3 Limited with a phone mount on the handle bars which works great. I can hook up my iPhone to the built in USB charger located in the "glove compartment" on the dash by the windshield. The wire hangs out and the lid does not close. When I go down the highway or travel at speed...

Riding without frunk insert in - is this okay

It was a warm day in the northeast so I removed the battery tender and went for a ride. I went out without putting the frunk insert in, is this okay? It would seem okay but I wanted to run it by people on the forum who know better than me. Regards, Jim

    Battery Tender Deal

I know there are multiple threads on the subject of battery tenders. I wanted to solicit opinions on this deal. I have Ryder insurance and received this offer from them. I wanted to get a battery tender and this one looks pretty solid. The CTEK MXS 5.0 (Part No. 40-206) Battery Charger is a...

    Anyone Ever Consider a Scooter?

I have a 2014 Honda Forza (300cc) which I traded in for my F3-Limited. It was good but not practical for long distance or highway riding, the wind from trucks was difficult at times. I also had a nasty fall which I am hoping the Spyder will prevent. I really liked it but it was not wanted for...

    Winter Gear Review

I live in the Northeast and was able to test my Sedici Pants and Alpinestars winter gloves. It was 30 degrees and I rode for over an hour without getting cold or minding the colder weather. The pants were outstanding and I was very happy with the gloves. It was great to hit the streets today...

I think I got the top box lid error figured out.

I was having he same issue since the day I bought my 2017 F3 Limited. I raised the clip a bit and BINGO no more open error. It was so annoying, I like looking at the trip 1 odometer and that darn orange warning was always there. I am so excited - thanks! Jim

    2017 F3 Limit Battery Dead

Help - Cold night last night and now my battery is dead. How do I remove the frunk cover to get at the battery so I can charge it. The manual says turn pins counter clockwise. They are plastic and it seems you need to pop them out. My battery is only 4 months old, my bike is new and I had...

    Tire Pressure and warming up

I read in my manual the recommended from tire pressure is 14 PSI cold, and back is 26 PSI cold. How long does it take a tire to warm up and how much does that increase the pressure? How often should you check you tire pressure? Thanks, Jim

    sway bar

I test drove spyders with and without sway bars - there was a world of difference between the two. I bought my spyder with sway bar and it is awesome. It should be standard equipment in my opinion. I believe the dealer installed a 3rd party swahy bar and not one from BRP.

    2017 Spyder F3 Limited - Cruise Control

I have a 2017 F3 Limited and noticed that cruise control does not work at lower speeds (30 to 40 MHP) although the manual says it should work at 25 MPH and above. Anyone else experience this? Thanks, Jim
