• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are there any '23 models out yet, the F3 or the RT series?

I would suggest calling any dealer first. Imotorsports often lists new product that is on order but not in current inventory on premises. Looking at the Imotorsports website I see a bunch of stock photos mixed in with some others taken on location but that doesn’t tell you if that is the actual...

What is a good way of Talking To my Passenger - helmets or add-ons?

I never had any issue talking with a passenger and not having comms. Then again, I’m not the kind to be unnecessarily and constantly jabbering about things while driving any kind of vehicle. Traffic and changes in road surface are my main riding concern, not making small talk. I would suggest...

And that's why I don't trust manufacturers recommendations!

Well you at least have to hand it to the engineer who designed the oil filtration. :2thumbs:

Check out this Heat shrink tubing for DIY'ers!

Plastic melts at a lower temperature than solder so what you witnessed is normal. When I use this type of connection I first strip the wires the proper length so when the wire is inserted it just clears the solder ring. Never twist the two wires before inserting them in his way the stranded wire...

Have you had issues with the "oilyness" of K&N Air Filters?

As a professional new car dealership automotive technician I don’t recommend them on many modern cars. We usually throw them out in the garbage because the OEM fits better, have much more surface area and these oiled filters can be a source of contamination to the MAF sensor. If you want to use...

Check out this Heat shrink tubing for DIY'ers!

They make a shrink tube with solder and a sealant on both ends to make a weathertight connection. When making an electrical repair never coat the bare wires with RTV Silicone as it corrodes copper.

MPG display issue ?. or i could be just an idiot.

That reading is going to need you to log a lot more miles upon the bike before the fuel mileage SWAG can be computed after the reset.

21 RT Rear Trunk won't stay open - any cheap repairs?

That’s an odd way of running a service department. Why hire a parts manager if all they inventory is oil and filters? No wonder they can’t hire or retain technicians.

    Can-Am all-electric Motorcycles grand reveal

What year do you think we will get started? We certainly have put the proverbial cart before the horse. I can’t find any new power generation plants being built in the USA that will supply the masses with cheap and abundant electrical energy to power our future. With the mandates imposed already...

Replacing 2021 front rotors/brakes - lube the pad pins too?

This isn’t the same thing or related in any way to an airplane. Manufacturers of motorcycles, automobiles and other equipment don’t use lubricants on brake parts but often times the dealership technicians are trained by the manufacturer to do this as a best practices method when servicing and...

How hard is it to do an Alignment - 2022 Ryker 900?

As a professional Master Automotive Technician I’ve aligned several hundred vehicles, cars, trucks, full four wheel alignment with front and rear caster, camber, toe and driveline and never ever received more than one hour of pay all while using either magnetic bubble gauges, light aligned or...

Is this Belt alignment on brand new Spyder OK?

I believe what your Service Manager told you to be the truth. The belt hasn’t settled in yet and will need many more miles before it will.

Sprocket Recall - What's Wrong With BRP's Logistics?

I watched Smoakes latest video today on the removal of that old sprocket. It looked like a pretty ugly job getting that old one off. It seems he needed a 10 ton hydraulic puller, heat from a torch and a pneumatic air hammer to free the beast and even with all of that it looked very time...

Replacing 2021 front rotors/brakes - lube the pad pins too?

Like in this video where he states the spring in the master cylinder draws the brake fluid back into the reservoir after releasing the brake lever. That’s just not how it works. While releasing the brake lever the spring helps move the master cylinder shuttle valves back to their normal position...

Front Sprocket Seized on shaft, dealer doing Recall work - any suggestions?

With the pulley under heavy tension from a 3-jaw gear puller you can strike the screw head with a BFH and sometimes that impact is enough to jar it loose.

Replacing 2021 front rotors/brakes - lube the pad pins too?

We don’t always know the background or training a YouTube creator has received so I always take that into consideration. You would need a dial indicator to measure that rotor runout. Good luck to you in your repair. You seem to have it as if this isn’t your first rodeo.
