• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Apple Car Play download initially failed! NOW Finally available....

jfischer, Sounds great... I need to take my 2024 S2S in to have the update performed then. We use Samsung Androids Note 20 5g, so no ACP but it will then be fully up to date if we ever sell it. Can you post a link to the Gearelec units, please?

Oh my... lower psi in car tires on Spyder's really works!

Yeah chalk on sidewall for autocrossing works to help find the right pressure. I also used to use ice water spray to cool the tires down between runs esp in the hot SE summer.

On the Road and BajaRon end link came off - what size hex key needed?

I think I'm gonna check out the BR Ultimate bar installed on my 2023 S2S Oct last year, just to make sure it is tight, as I have not even thought about it since the install. Sorry for your troubles and glad it will be fixed.

Had to wear Gloves for Can Am riding course - Do you wear gloves? Why? Or why not?

I have several types of gloves that I use. Old school leather driving gloves with a longer cuff + thin wool lining I use for summer and temperate days in fall. They tuck into my Leather jacket. They do not have an open back. I have deerskin gloves for fall and spring. Those are nice and warm...

What is the difference between F3 and RT Limiteds?

Not sure of the better protection from the elements... I mean, you are still on a 3-wheeler. Windshield might make some diff but if it's raining or snowing, hot or cold, it isn't gonna be much difference.

I don't understand 'Trip Statistics'... am I holding it wrong?

Clear them both and see if that fixes the issue. Do it while gassing up so you know it spans the correct # of miles.

I’m getting frustrated with the belt vibration - any ideas to help?

Is it possible the vibration existed before the tire swap, and you just did not notice it? That may mean the stiffer side wall is exacerbating the driveline vibrations. Those belt dampers are not too expensive, might be worth a shot, just need to inspect and test the roller at periodic...

Any thoughts on this Handlebar vibration/shake?

Yes def jack it up and see if the tires rotate round with no vertical runout. Take video of it. If not round try to get the dealer to replace under warranty, but be prepared to show receipts for the re-balance and video of the out of round. You could take it to a local tire shop that can test...

    How Do You Ride?

We like to ride mostly back roads or town roads. I hate going on I75 northbound out of Marietta Ga heading to Cartersville GA. Wall to wall 18 wheeler Trucks and people seem to aim for you and cut you off etc. I75 posted limit is 70 mph but i wont go that fast. We def like to go for morning...

What do you think of the 'New for 2025 - Spyder Canyon'?

Well, BRP is expanding the range... Wonderful... Hopefully they don't come with the #%^# new 2024 screens and ACP that doesn't work.

How close are we to getting a 2024 shop manual?

Mebbe they do cover many things, but the screen is way different on the 2024, as are both of the handlebar controls. Ditto for the way those things actually work. Troubleshooting for those would not be covered at all. My $2, due to dollar decline.

Apple Car Play download initially failed! NOW Finally available....

Wow, just wow! We don't have iPhones, so having ACP is just redundant for us. Now if the bloody ACP worked with AA wired or wireless, then I would be trying all those things that seem hit or miss too. Grabs popcorn and beer and sits down to watch and follow.

Debating a water bottle setup on my '22 RT-L - any pics, suggestions?

My wife uses the handlebar holder from Lamonster which accommodates her stainless-steel cup with lid and SS straw. She just bends over at traffic stops and takes a sip... easy peasy! Oh, the cup is an insulated one, so no issue in the Georgia heat. She adds a bit of ice, then fills it up with...

Passed my Washington State 3 wheel license test

Yep, me too. MSF online course that took several hours. Then the Can Am 3-wheel riders training... 8 people showed up for that. One got kicked out after 3 hours as she would not listen to the coach at all and just did whatever she wanted. All riding done on Rykers, in the rain too. Fun time. It...

What do you carry for Travel Snacks?

Bottles of water, granola bars, & nuts; but noo chocolate that will melt anywhere you put it in the Spyder.

Tell Me Something Good About Your Spyder Ownership Experience

I like the ride; the fact that it doesn't fall over when stopped; and the fact it is comfortable enough to ride 100 miles without aggravating my sciatica or shoulders. Also, it isn't really loud, and it gets 30+ mpg!

Opinions wanted - How I and the Dealer handled a service issue - long read warning

IMHO you werent too pushy. They were clearly trying to push the belt alignment off even though they had said it was "out of spec". It appears to me that the SA got grumpy after you insisted it get done, which was already on their dime. Kudos to you for standing up... I am 70 and have found the...

Is Common Sense going the way of the Passenger Pigeon?

Agree with reading the manual, BUT - BRP manuals definitely suffer from copy/paste isdues and have functions in them that do not apply to YOUR vehicle. The functions themselves suffer from poor descriptions too... So they can be confusing! IMHO many long-timers on here are way better sources of...

    Apple Car Play Compensation

racoon... Mind sharing what you ordered? I still have to take mine in to get the working ACP update done, but I haven't looked to see what might be gotten for the $500 credit.
