• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi All, In August 2015 I purchased a used 2013 STL with 185 miles on it. Totally stock. I put 3000 miles on in the fall and winter. Now that I have spent some time with it in a variety of riding conditions, I am considering some upgrades. Please keep in mind that my questions are from a guy who...

    Battery Tender Time

Once again, I want to thank everyone for their replies and thoughts. I was really fishing for a few good ideas, and you came through for me. My STL is now safely tucked away for the winter (although I did ride to church on Christmas eve, rode on Christmas day, and was out again on January 10...

    STS Gets Wrapped!

Very nice! You say that the graphics were "supplied by Pete at wrapmyspyder.com." Who did the application? Is it too big a job for a novice?

    Helmet Problems

Looking for answers -- some random thoughts Hi John, I feel you pain. Most local shops can only stock a very limited number of models. They can't possibly sell enough helmets to support stocking every model in every size, so it makes sense that they will choose a few models and have one of...

What happened to the 2016 ST Limited?

Hi Lu, We purchased out 2013 ST-Limited in August 2015. It was used and had 185 miles on it. Since then I have added another 3000 to the odometer. At my request, the dealership (Hollinger's, Ephrata, PA) replaced the panels with newer panels to alleviate the heat problem. They have also done a...

    NOT HAPPY WITH BRP (AGAIN)

The bigger issue in this discussion might be the qualifications of dealers' mechanics. How good are they? Have they received training specific to Spyders? Have their employers (dealerships) sent them for training specific to BRP Spyders? As always, it goes back to the dealer: who they hire and...

Are you still riding in the Northeast?

We rode to Longwood Gardens in Chester County, PA for our annual visit to see the Christmas lights. Beautiful weather. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

What happened to the 2016 ST Limited?

The first time I laid eyes on the ST-Limited, I knew I had to have one. It took two years, but I got the ST. I might eventually learn to love an F3, but it would take some doing. I don't like the front end, and even the 2016 limited with the built in saddle bags doesn't cut it with me. Yes...

    Battery Tender Time

Thanks for the good advice. I rode last Sunday, then fueled up and added some stabilizer, then rode for a few more minutes to get it into the gas line, then parked it. It's covered and has the battery tender on it. Weather is looking good for Thanksgiving Day. I might be out again!

Why so much shop time? As a ST owner, you have me wondering why your Spyder is spending so much time in the shop. I don't mean to pry, but I'm just wondering if there is something I need to know.:sour:

    New Helmet!

The one thing I love about riding my high tech machine is wearing a low tech helmet. While it protects me, I don't have to worry about multiple screens, flashing lights, and the batteries dying. I love technology, but there have to be limits.this helmet is cool, but way too complicated for me...

    Computer reboot problem?

This is a case for a well-trained, very patient technician. It sounds like you are losing power to the main board. It should be covered under warranty; the sooner the better. Intermittent surges can lead to even more, and bigger, problems.

    Spyder Sales

The last time I stopped by the local dealership, it looked like they were taking $5000 off most 2015 models. I looked at their web site over the weekend, and it logs like most of the 2015s are still there. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

    Battery Tender Time

Tender/Maintainer/Float Charger Thanks to all who contributed to this thread. When I wrote the original post, I had just purchased a cheap Cen-Tech maintainer from E-Bay. It came with the standard spring clamps, but no ring terminals. Since then, I bought a Extreme Max 1229.4000 Battery Buddy...

    Battery Tender Time

I have a 2013 STL that I purchased used last summer. Now that winter is approaching, I want to hook up a battery tender, but I need some good advice. I see that there are battery terminals inside the frunk, under a removable panel on the left (driver's) side. The positive (red) terminal has a...
