• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I guess I'm just not a Twisties guy!

I liked the twisty on my 2 wheels. Not a carver kind of ride just enjoy the ride. So we rode home today on some twisty from Southern NC to Fla. Mostly the old school highways. I don't remember this thing acting like a pig in mud last year with the same gear and tires. But some corners, it pushed...

    Polaris sells Indian Motorcycle

Polaris **** the bed when they killed Victory. It was a much better bike than the Indian ever hoped to be. It had "new" styling vs a rehash of WW2 styling; innovative looks; and good handling. I loved mine, almost wish I still had it.

Warm start issues - starts then stalls. Anyone else experiencing this or similar?

So do you hear the pump "buzz" when warm and you turn it on? If not, that’s what sends me to relay or related fuel system glitches. I would say maybe a tank vent issue, but since it’s injected, the pump is "supposed" to overcome that.

Our First Long Trip on the Spyder

We also did our longest trip to date on our Spyder. 500+ miles I think, from Daytona to Sugar Mountain NC. All of that primarily slab (not my preferred). Then we headed South West to Lower NC Sapphire/Cashiers, and headed home from there on Sat. 400 something miles there, mostly old highways.

Warm start issues - starts then stalls. Anyone else experiencing this or similar?

I would like to think a dealer tech would have checked this kind of thing - Injectors and signal; grounds to battery and ecm, etc; fuel pump relay circuit; and key switch connection.

    Hidden Surcharges shouldn't be allowed!

Buy a concert ticket. You can't hardly just do a payment and pick up at will call. I got tickets to a concert here in St Augustine later in Oct. My seats were like 65 or 75 bucks. So say $150 for 2. Then there is the "convenience charge" for having to buy them on line. Then a "venue fee" so an...

For those going to Maggie Valley next week, Keep an eye on the weather!

Wife was just reading on Facebook about some land slides and road closures in Ashville and surrounding areas. So check out the NC DOT.

After some True Can-Am insight - will I be making a huge mistake buying the RTL or F3?

Be sure to try out both on a test ride. Seating position is unique to both, so which ever fits your stance. I prefer the F3 Limited.

Ryker 900 - sounds like it wants to start but won't turn over! Charged the battery, still nothing. Helllpppp!

I'm confused. First post says cranks no start, then later posts say battery good, but won't crank? If it cranks over, then remove the cover for the air filter, shoot some brake kleen or starter fluid in there and crank it over. If no go then, it probably means no spark. If it doesn't...

Is it safe to ride with a suspension fault?

Last year, when we left on our annual fall trip on my F3, I got about an hour from the house (to North Jacksonville area) and the suspension light came on. When I stopped, the upper connection on the arm had lost the bolt. I used a zip tie to get us by. Your problem could have been the arm was...

Wasted my $$ on Cardo Packtalk Bold - just wanted decent sounding Music, but it sounds like ****!

The monitors also come with several different silicone/rubber ends. Also I used to work at race tracks a bunch, and for our radios we had custom molded ear pieces for the radio. So I looked up on you tube and sure enough there were video's on how to make these also custom fit. I don't find them...

Will Using 87 Octane impact performance?

So another option I have not seen anyone mention. When you get to say 1/2 tank top off with which ever you didn't fill with last. Say you had 87, when you get to 1/2 or a bit lower, top with high test, then next time, 87.

Wasted my $$ on Cardo Packtalk Bold - just wanted decent sounding Music, but it sounds like ****!

Mine look like this: Got them from Amazon. You can go as low as $15 or so, and up to over $200. They sit pretty flush with outside of my ear, so they're not usually a big problem getting the helmet on.

Wasted my $$ on Cardo Packtalk Bold - just wanted decent sounding Music, but it sounds like ****!

I have a SENA, can't complain as I don't know any difference. The OEM speakers, if turned up, sounded more treble or high notes. So I tried some upgraded speakers that were suggested by a friend. Better, but not great. I finally just went with in ear monitors. Much better, and as a bonus, it...

Doing some Toy Hauler Research - Anyone have any info or experience with these?

Approach angle is something I had considered. May have to think of different approach. Maybe back it in vs forward.

87 Octane seems to work just fine

OK I mis-spoke. I guess what I was trying to say is its more "stable" or less resistant to burn until it is supposed to. Thus my "cooler" reference. If you really want something that runs cooler go full alcohol. But burn rate is like 2 to one. LOL

Doing some Toy Hauler Research - Anyone have any info or experience with these?

I will have to look again, but I believe both; I am looking at having a "beaver tail" type entry, so its sloped at the ramp which should help.

Do Tinted Helmet Visors diminish your ability to see out in the dark/night?

My experience is Yes! A tinted "darker" visor is hard to see thru at night. My Bell Mag 9 has a clear visor with a tinted drop down inside that is not too bad at night. The best night visor that I have had is an amber color, good for rain, too. Daylight, not so much!

87 Octane seems to work just fine

So part of the manufactures octane game is "how it burns" and emissions to pass regulations. It burns a bit hotter so it helps with the emissions and makes EPA happy.
