• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I don't like my driver's backrest - any better options?

The stock backrest can be modified. If you remove it and undo the two zippers, the vinyl cover will come right off. You can take it to an automotive upholsterer and they will add/shape foam to whatever you want. I had a gel foam chair seat pad lying around and cut that to the shape of the...

87 Octane seems to work just fine

Keep in mind that with the high compression, if you decide to upgrade your Spyder to the Stage 2 ECU flash 91 Octane is absolutely required. The Stage 2 upgrade makes it go from a toy to a very fun toy!

ECO mode Arrow seems to be backwards - any ideas? Could you try to see if this happens on your 2025 S2S too?

Mine does not do that. Have you checked to see if you are on the latest firmware? There was a "mandatory" firmware flash file issued a few weeks ago for the touchscreen. It was supposed to finally fix the Apple Carplay issues, but there were also some other changes. Have it hooked up to BUDS2...

    A Friendly Maintenance Reminder

The owner decided to go with an entirely new one from Lamonster Garage. Their roller is much better.

    A Friendly Maintenance Reminder

A new customer brought his 2022 F3T to me for an oil change. As part of my regular service, I give the whole bike a good lookover. I found that his (aftermarket) belt idler had a seized roller. The bike has 21000 miles. Luckily, it did not do any significant damage to his drive belt, but it...

Has anyone modified the brake pedal to make it easier to use?

Not really. You do have to remove most of the right side bodywork to mount the slave cylinder. Once the bodywork is off, it's pretty straight forward. It takes a little time to bleed it, due to a small reservoir at the brake handle.

Has anyone modified the brake pedal to make it easier to use?

+1 for the ISCI handbrake. I installed one for a friend that has the same reasons you do. He loves it!

Battery/Starting slow spin - is this common & why doesn't it start like a normal motorcycle?

My lithium battery is 600 CCA, weighs 4 pounds, and cranks it amazingly fast.

Do you think there's an F3 update coming for 2026?

Since the 2024 and 2025 models have the larger screen now and the new style handlebar switch clusters, I'd be surprised to see any major changes for 2026.

My Thoughts on the 2025 RTL

I traded in my 2020 RTL for a 2025 S2S due to entering retirement and having over 60000 trouble free miles on my 2020. So far, the S2S is just as dependable and the improvements are just that, improvements. Nothing earth shattering. Some major surprises though, were needing to buy another...

Is there a 'Full Tank' Triangle? If so, where? '22 RT

No. You can top off completely without any backflow into the evap like the older models.

Trailer hitches - will a 2011 Swing arm hitch fit on a 2024 Limited?

Can't say for sure about the drawbar, but I'm sure the wiring module would be different. I had a 2020 RTL and traded in on a 2025. Same drawbar, but they changed the wiring again. Had to buy another setup.

Can this plastic piece be removed to wrap?

To answer your question, yes, it can be removed. Both side panels and the ignition switch bezel need to be removed first. Not hard at all.

It certainly needs an anti-sway bar. Step up Ron!! A few more mods and it would be a great hill climb contender!!

Apple CarPlay - the good, the bad, and the really ugly

Hate to say this, but I've never been impressed with Apple products. I switched from years of Garmin's to the Innovv N1Pro unit. It has front and rear dashcam recorders, can be either Apple Carplay or Android Auto, and works perfectly every time. You can even use the screen as a rear view mirror...
