• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Blue Ridge Parkway has been closed indefinitely due to storm damage!

Yes, it is really bad down here. The thing that will make it so ruff is that normally when there is a landslide or collapse along the BRP, they are able to detour you around that particular area. But this time, the side roads are in just as bad a shape, or possibly even worse. The best that we...

Just returned from a Route 66 ride - Fantastic Trip!

Awesome trip! 7 of my buddies just returned from doing the 5,000+ mile trip on Rt 66 from Ohio to California They did it in 10 days on 2 harleys, 1 goldwing, and 4 indians. My riding buddy and I are looking at doing a cross country trip next year.

Spyder Adventures in Maggie Valley, NC

Chimney Rock area is pretty much gone. Numerous bridges got washed out. But Brevard is still there. One of our church members son goes to school there. It is flooded, and evacuations were taking place, but the town is still there. I will be giving a first hand view of the area in about 2 weeks.

Why is the engine braking so Weak?! Should I not use Eco mode?

I have noticed that the engine braking is a lot better on my 2016 F3L than it is on my 2021 RTL. I am thinking it has to do with the tune of the engine and also the larger sprocket that is on the F3.

White RT in an Accident with a Bear - Cavendish Vt. Sun 9/29/2024

Prayers to all involved. I almost had a collision with one on 74 and another on the BRP in NC. It is a scary situation. Every time I hear of an accident with a large animal, I think of Doc Humphries' wife and her accident with the deer. That was definitely a sad situation and nothing that...

Spyder Adventures in Maggie Valley, NC

I was hoping for more feedback from the event organizers myself, but that hasn't happened yet. Some people from my area are still planning on going, if they can get verification that the homes didn't get damaged. As for me, I will be going in 2 weeks if there is no damage to the resident. If...

Spyder Adventures in Maggie Valley, NC

According to a post on the events group page, the rally is still a go. There might be road closures, but hopefully things will work out. We actually moved our trip out 2 weeks later (10/16-20) a long time ago, just to see more colors. I am thinking things should be much better by then. Be...

Spyder Adventures in Maggie Valley, NC

The Spyder Adventures rally in Maggie Valley is scheduled for October 1-4. The NC mountains have been devistated by the Huricane that passed through and there are many road closures and washouts. I have not heard if the rally is still going or not, but if you are going, please check on your...

    Saddle Bag Problem, Again.

Normally weather is great after one of these storms pass. The issue will be road washouts and rockslides. Canton had quite a few road closures a couple of years ago. A friend of mine has property up in Hendersonville and she said they have 15.5" of rain so far and it is really coming down still...

Any way to modify an RTL to mimic the off-road features of the new Canyon?

After watching the video, I gotta say that Ryker Rally impressed me. They went through places that I would not have imagined or even tried. This Ryker is really sweet. As for the Canyon, that is more money than I would want to try to spend to do some occasional off roading. But I know there...

How do you mange riding a Spyder and a motorcycle?

I ride them both with no issues. But when I am going to be riding either one somewhat aggressively, I will put in about a week of only riding whichever one i will be taking to the event. In June we do a weeks trip with the guys on mostly 2 wheelers, so I will take about a weeks vacation from...

Top case rack OEM vs AfterMarket - differences and better option

Thanks for that. I am considering getting one for my 2021 RTL before our cross country trip next spring. I haven't ordered the upgraded shock yet because I have had good luck with my oem one. Wish I could say that about the one for the seat. I am mainly looking for a bag big enough to store...

    How about a new rt?

The pictures are definitely eye catching and something that I would want. But as many have said, AI is very deceiving. One of the worst ways is when they use it on people. I am referring to how ladies (and men), can change their appearance. I am really glad I am not into the dating game...

492 mile day trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway

I tried to contact him yesterday, but was unable to reach him. I wanted to get the exact number of miles on the bike. But I do know that it was the oem stock tire on a 2021 Sea to Sky. My guess is that the bike has less than 4,000 miles on it. As for the hole, it was about a 2" diameter hole...

492 mile day trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway

Had an awesome time Saturday (9/7) riding with a group of 3 wheelers from the Raleigh, NC area to the BRP. We started out with 7 Spyders and 2 Slingshots. About 40 miles into the ride, and 2 miles from our last meeting point, one of the Spyders had a flat. We stopped and were going to see if it...

    Buying used - 2015 Spyder F3-S - is this milage/usage a concern?

Where are you located? I think location has a lot to do with what type of deals you are able to come across. There is one local that I am considering picking up just for sporting around. It has 28k miles and some extras. It is also a SM6, but it has Corbin bags and a passenger backrest that I...

Has Anyone else removed their F3T's windshield?

I understand your reasoning. Just curious as to why you didn't get a F3 or F3S if you didn't want a windshild?

New to Three Wheelers. Long time on two

Welcome! I see you are in NC - Check out the 'Triangle Spyders' group if you are on facebook. We are doing a ride next weekend (9/7) to the NC mountains. Going to travel up to the Boone area; hop on the BRP; and take that down to Little Switzerland. Then we're heading home (Apex/Cary area)...

Will F3 Limited Floorboards fit on an F3T?

For me, I swapped the entire thing. But the rear bracket is the same on both. I know this because the metal is sort of cheap pot metal and one of mine broke. We were able to use the rear area from a peg and use it with the floorboard piece.
