• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Too start with......I'm not color blind

Peter, first off thanks for an answer but to clarify I personally haven't done any top-offs of this reservoir ever. Whenever I looked in the past it was OK - which actually I expected this time. If it was done it was done a year ago with my last oil change and annual inspection. But I believe...

Too start with......I'm not color blind

Just had an experience looking at the coolant reservoir that I do NOT understand. Hoping someone else does. Just got back from a 200 hundred mile day and just for grins (and because of some other discussions I am having about maintaining things) I decided to see if my coolant was up to where it...

In for the annual service visit.

Nice post here. I will be taking the same type cold trip to my dealer in a few weeks  But I am curious (not trying to start any arguments) :roflblack: about the items people have done or not done, compared to the BRP maint. schedule. Anybody care to tell me (us) what items they don't...

Try as I may, I can't get a new location (mine) to post on the map. It always ends up only showing 3 Washington locations and none added new. Please help - What am I missing in instructions? Basic location is Tenino, Wa. which I can find on the map but "adding" doesn't keep it when I go out...

    The Spouse...[Seeking Riding Experience Info]

Ever since the spyder came along, my wife's primary question to me on ANY "reasonable" weather day is........Why isn't the Spyder out yet :banghead: and where are we going? :gaah: I just say something like..... "I can't find my glasses" ! :roflblack::roflblack:

Update on (MY) Verdestein QUATRAC5 tire wear Yours may vary

I yield to others who have done things you refer to here. Most I have not. I will say "my opinion" is if you will only have 3,000 miles on after this summer, I would be using that time to think about what you really need to be happy with the ride and experiences you had. Just my opinion.

Oil level... No difference cold or hot

I have always found the same thing every time I check my oil in our 2014RTL. NO DIFFERENCE in readings. Like here, I have read every post on this subject to find no real answer. NOT ARGUING...just adding to the number of posts stating my experience.

Sad news - Teddy & Cyncy Spyder

Marci and I have a wall in our home with 11 framed letters on it. Each one has a cherished picture of the "furry friend" that sent it to us, along with the letter itself. The letter is from them in heaven, telling us the things they want us to remember (good and bad) about their time with us...

How Many Miles Did You Go in 2020?

Approx. 8,000......and given our Governors ("haven't really got any clue why, but here are your personal travel restrictions for the week, and I will change them whenever I want" - mentality) I think we did OK - just NOT on "Road Trips" like we wanted.

    Heated Grips - Warm Enough?

along, but not exactly the same......I have a question for all on this subject, but it's not completely riding related. My hands (fingers) get cold when just walking the dog around our yard on a cold day, or just doing misc. outside work when it's in the 30-50 degree range outside...

Hopefully a simple question on 660 GPS

Got it ! Thanks. This is basically what I was doing before I got overly concerned I was doing something wrong :banghead::banghead:. there was a short trip where I thought the unit was on, but after the trip nothing showed up. So I "naturally figured" the unit "might not work as I had thought it...

Hopefully a simple question on 660 GPS

To ALL - Thanks very much for the inputs on Garmin Zuma660LM use I really appreciate all your inputs on this topic.:thumbup: I had been getting the logs after I rode - even if I didn't put in a destination, but in using Basecamp after that, I had issues with what I was doing and started...

Hopefully a simple question on 660 GPS

Thanks for the input Lew. I guess my question is....if I just turn on the Garmin when I get on the Spyder, and I don't program in any particular destination, does it start recording details of the route we actually take on our ride or doesn't it record anything unless I "put something in" as a...
