• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A bit of a dilemma on parking brake issue

I wrestled with getting my rear wheel back on yesterday. Seems it was a bit more difficult than the last time I did it. Success was finally mine until I went for a test ride. Now the parking brake appears to be jammed in the disengaged position. Everything else is working fine and the only...

What car tire size should I fit - 225/60 or 215/60R15?

FWIW, we have a 205/65 15 on the rear of our 2014 RT-L resulting in nearly 100% accurate speedometer when checked several times against two GPS units. They gave the same result of a speedometer reading of 75mph being 74.5mph actual speed. The narrower width does not seem to have been a...

Help! Trying to get a working intercom/audio to our Helmets?! SOLVED!!!!!

Chiming in just to agree with others above. We bought the dual set of Sena 10S from Motorcycle Dave last year. They were already paired together from the factory so all we had to do to talk to other bikes was pair with their units. Have only paired with another Sena 5S so far and seems to...

Where to find exploded parts drawings? Installing rear wheel...

Thank you. This is my second time to do this but it just doesn't seem to be fitting back together as easily as the first time.

Where to find exploded parts drawings? Installing rear wheel...

Greetings all, I have a bit of a dilemma in my attempt to re-install the rear wheel on our 2014 RT-L. I've watched a couple of the videos here and am still having some trouble. I think having an exploded view showing all the parts might help in that I feel like I may be missing a part. Does...

SELF INFLICTED CHALLENGE--lighting up a GIVI top case.

Alrighty! With shingles keeping me home bound for the last five weeks, I occasionally feel up to working on this. Got the first row done and learned some things that I carried over to make the rest of them better. They are not perfect but now have 72 holes ready for installing 8 LED strips.

Topping off your fuel tank - is it good practice??

I'm kind of from the school of thought that a few extra minutes filling up is way better than running out at 150 miles and needing a tow ($$$$) or someone with a gas can. Now if you run around where there are lots of gas pumps, maybe not a big deal but here in the Tx Panhandle there can be some...

Topping off your fuel tank - is it good practice??

I use a 11" funnel like in the pic. Depending on how well the pump you choose that day trickles, it's possible to keep the level about even with the top of the filler cup and let it trickle down until it is touching the bottom of the filler cup. You might also notice I have opened those larger...

Topping off your fuel tank - is it good practice??

yep, I carry a long skinny funnel in the frunk that I use when doing all day rides. I've found that having the gas nozzle in about 1.5" it will click off when there is easily room for another gallon, maybe more. I then insert the funnel all the way down and trickle by watching as the level...

What's a good replacement Battery for 2014 RTL?

When the OEM YUASA in our '14 RTL died a couple of years ago, I found the exact replacement by the numbers on the battery at Amazon Prime. Had it in hand in less than a week at a better price than I found online or local shops. I also don't use a trickle charger unless I know the Spyder or any...

Who is the best dealer in Great Falls, Montana - need an oil change?

Smart thing to do would be change it before you go. There is no sense in disrupting a trip with some type of regular maintenance when it's much easier to do it at home with a dealer you already trust. A few hundred miles difference is not that big of a deal considering the high miles between...

you might check with Baja Ron. Don't know if he has that brand, but saved me a few bucks on my Nolan last year.

SELF INFLICTED CHALLENGE--lighting up a GIVI top case.

Greetings from the farside again. Since this isn't really Spyder related I'm putting it here, but this could still be done for those adding an after-market top case to their Spyder. As some of you may recall, I kind of think outside the box when modifying things. Well, this new challenge is...

Advice Please - Want to get back to riding.

That you are happy and excited, is really all that matters. Now about this whole "I am 68 now and know I only have a few years of riding left in me, but boy I miss it." BALONEY! I'm 68, short and a little overweight, but just now transitioning from two to three wheels. Never-ever think you...

Bought an ign kit fm BajaRon, sent an email question, why no answer..??

I'm sure he's not ignoring you. I bought a new helmet from him a while back and even though it might take a day or two he always responded. Chances are he's just a busy guy and will get back to you. He takes care of his customers.

Spyder surgery - one less thing to remove for servicing!

hmmmm, I like this idea. Will need to poke around a little and maybe do it. I enlarged the leading edge of the intake tube on the two R1200Cs I have. In both instances I saw an increase in fuel mileage of 3 to 4mpg
