• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    AAA Anyone?

AAA I just upgraded mine this week and as mentioned above, you have to have the RV coverage that comes with the AAA Plus membership in order to tow motorcycles. I have the BEST insurance as well, but I'm thinking flat tire, out of gas etc is what the AAA will come in handy for. The difference...

    R.I.P ANDY GRIFFITH

Andy Anyone ever see "No Time for Sergeants"? (1958). Andy and Don Knotts BEFORE Mayberry in a army-buddy movie. You can see him really corn-pone it up HARD. He is channeling Gomer Pyle BEFORE Gomer Pyle!

    Travel tips for BlueRidge Parkway

Blue Ridge It's 45 mph all the way and a gorgeous ryde. Get gas when you can (you will have to get off the parkway to do it.) There are no restaurants or businesses on the parkway really. Just pull over to a lot of Overlooks and take pictures. The hard part is keeping your eyes on the road...

Charlotte area ryders... Meet and greet?

Music Factory Let me check into this for the 7th. If we can make it, we will be back in touch. I'm going to try. You're right about the heat this weekend. I went for a ryde between 7-9pm and it was like driving in an oven. Supposed to be between 105 and 108 tomorrow.

Idaho I haven't. that's what this trip is for. We will only probably skim the far east edge of it by Yellowstone.

Wanted: Motorcycle Tour Guide for 7 days in summer 2013 in Wyoming/Montana

MT WY Trip AK, Recluse, Thanks for the info. You are definitely right about finding the most/best we can jam into 7 days. My wish list and calendar are not the same size! (I guess the wife is right: Size DOES matter!) Yellowstone and Grand Teton are definitely on the list. I've looked up that...

Wanted: Motorcycle Tour Guide for 7 days in summer 2013 in Wyoming/Montana

MT Trip I appreciate the info! I have already contacted WY Tourism and several others and will now contact Cody and Wyoming CofC. Also appreciate the tips on where to go. Thanks! Usually when someone tells me where to go, it's considerably warmer and not as scenic!

Wanted: Motorcycle Tour Guide for 7 days in summer 2013 in Wyoming/Montana

I know this is a ways off, but I am looking for a motorcycle tour guide for next summer for the Wyoming/Montana/Idaho (primarily Yellowstone) area. I was going to post on other cycle sites but realized I had a great resource here. I am organizing a few motorcycle enthusiasts to come out late...

    Highway driving

Ryding on the highway Okaaaaay... except this is supposed to be the place where new ryders can come to learn from more experienced ryders. (I know I still am!) Great that you have 25k of highway, but instead of discouraging questions, you should be letting this new ryder benefit from your...

    NON-ETHNOL GAS

ethanol My understanding is that ethanol left in your vehicle for prolonged periods will start to eat away at the seals. Is this true? If so, what would be difference between leaving it for long periods of time and constantly refilling it with ethanol based products?

Spyder wreck in Central Ohio Monday

I was a little enraged by the video coverage. The melodramatic talking head on site made a big deal of the helmet situation making it sound like it was the riders fault they died for not wearing helmets. This has not been established by the investigative troopers. The bike was so mangled that I...
