• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Contemplating buying a Spyder - any reliability, power, and buyer's remorse issues?

Pedal Commander changes the throttle response and allows you to tap into that 1330 CC engine a lot faster. It has 12 modes I believe and the most aggressive ones will rock your world. Do a youtube search for pedal commander and Spyder. They are about $200 I believe.

After advice on Buying New or Used? Opinions? Thoughts?

That's too bad. I know there are a lot of good Spyders and bikes out there. Spyders are extra nice because they never get laid down on the road and no clutch to burn through.

Contemplating buying a Spyder - any reliability, power, and buyer's remorse issues?

Answer - Pedal Commander. When I ride now, if I turn the throttle too quickly, I might get thrown off the grips.

Contemplating buying a Spyder - any reliability, power, and buyer's remorse issues?

What he said - you will hate it for 200 - 300 miles. Then, shortly after, you will wonder how you lived without it.

I’m getting frustrated with the belt vibration - any ideas to help?

This is really a good reply. I was going through the exact same feelings as Poppie65 and wondering why I be bike felt softer in the back after switching to Altimax and running at 20 PSI. I do like the feeling MUCH better but worried just a bit that maybe I was underinflated. Your explanation...

I just spoke to my parts guy who spoke to Can Am. They are not ready to ship these yet, likely between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Had to wear Gloves for Can Am riding course - Do you wear gloves? Why? Or why not?

As someone who dropped his 2 wheeler on a sandy curve, I realized how much the gloves I had on helped me. My hands were fine but my knees, not so much. But I have to say for the few times I was riding in a driving rain, riding without gloves would have been better. Because wearing wet gloves...

I’m getting frustrated with the belt vibration - any ideas to help?

I have read through this thread and am wondering if my minor issue is the same. I also switched to the Altimax tire and from time to time, I get a rubbing sound from the belt area under my seat or a little further back. I hear it in 6th gear around 45 - 50 mph . At faster speeds, either the...

    How Do You Ride?

In the interstates, one bad thing about going 70 - 75 is watching that fuel gauge drop SO FAST. Even slowing to 65 can give another 20 miles or more of range.

PedalBox and Pedal Commander - what do they do and how do they work?

Maybe we should talk about something less divisive - like religion and politics. :)

What do you think of the 'New for 2025 - Spyder Canyon'?

Totally agree - a beefed up Ryker would have been perfect. It is smaller and would be better on trails as well.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Two questions? How did they know their belt was not aligned after the tire replacement? What was involved with the alignment?

What do you think of the 'New for 2025 - Spyder Canyon'?

I kind of think they should have done this off road package based on the Ryker. It has shaft drive for ruggedness, is narrower for path driving, and is lighter weight. Maybe that will be in 2026.

You will LOVE or HATE this - How to open your locked Frunk without the key!

Martin makes a good point that if someone wants to break open the frunk, they could easily do it with a screwdriver or crowbar. But I loved being under the illusion that my stuff was safe - oh well.
