• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2nd oil change, 9300 miles or 1 year

Hello all. I need some advice. Because of some surgery, I was not able to ride much in the last year but am ready to go now. I only put on 1000 miles in the last year. The owners manual says oil changes at 9300 mile intervals or 1 year. How serious is that 1 year mark? Is the mileage or...

To grill or not to grill that is the question

I read somewhere that every year, 20 trillion bugs are killed on windshields each year. Has anyone noticed a decrease in the bug population? Makes you wonder exactly how many bugs are living on our earth at any given time.

Has anyone put a cargo carrier on their trailer hitch?

I love this idea. How does the heat from the exhaust effect things. Does the exhaust blow back on the contents mounted on the hitch?

Interesting news out of BRP on electrification.

I own a Pacifica PHEV. I have come to the conclusion that the idea of EV's being for everyone for all situations is ludicrous. EV's are excellent for urban or suburban around town errands or going to and from work. But they are not the right tool for the job for rural settings, cold weather...

Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

My Spyder is red, I have red underglow lights and menacing red lights coming from behind the grill. That led me to the name, "Hell on Wheels." I haven't told anyone but you guys. Now the secret is out. LOL

Gasoline question - will Regular harm the Spyder?

I know on many 89/91 rated cars and trucks today, they recommend the higher octane and state that horsepower is rated with the higher octane. But they also state that 87 can be used but will result in slightly lower horsepower. I wonder if that is what the engineers at Can Am were trying to...

2020 and up - RT series Halo Skid - any issues?

I have this lighted bumper guard on my 2021 RTL. I love it. It makes no difference in maintenance. It might lower your clearance a wee bit but I haven't really noticed a difference. The hard part on the Spyder are the dips between parking lots and roads. I try to take them at an angle and...

    MPG oddity on 2021 RTL

That is EXACTLY what I did. I was waiting in line to gas up and thought I might as well reset the trip meters. Let me try next time doing it AFTER I refill.

    MPG oddity on 2021 RTL

The strangest thing happened to me this last week. I filled up my gas tank and reset both Trip 1 and Trip 2 back to zero. As I rode for the next 100 miles, Trip 2 was accurately reporting miles driven and approximate MPG. Trip 1 on the other hand was completely crazy. It started out saying I...

Frunk not always popping open with key - anyone else? Fix?

Is anyone else having this issue? Maybe I just have the wrong expectation. I turn the key to pop the front, hear something pop, and walk around the front of the Spyder to open the frunk and it is still not unlocked. So I go back and have to unlock the frunk again, and this time reach around...
