• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for a good GPS - Touring, no off road. Considering Garmin Zumo XT - thoughts?

I'm not sure if I understand your complaint about "routes". I just opened the Google Maps application on my computer and asked for directions to my local grocery store. And not just a web browser going to the Google maps website, but the actual Google Maps application that I downloaded and...

Looking for a good GPS - Touring, no off road. Considering Garmin Zumo XT - thoughts?

I think the first GPS device I owned was a Garmin Streetpilot i3. Small, kind of roundish, easily fit in the palm of your hand. Larger than a golf ball, smaller than a baseball. Google says the Streetpilot i3 was released in 2005, but the original Garmin Streetpilot (no number) was released in...

2020 RT Limited Rear Case Removal - does the cover come with the bike? Should I expect it when buying a used bike?

My 2024 Spyder RT Sea2Sky was delivered with the top case installed, and also came with a big flat box. The flat box included the driver's seat backrest and it's mounting hardware, and the cover that I could use to replace the top case if I wanted to remove it.

Looking for a good GPS - Touring, no off road. Considering Garmin Zumo XT - thoughts?

I bought a Garmin Zumo XT GPS when I bought my 2024 Spyder, as Can Am was still figuring how to get Apple CarPlay to work. I agree that Garmin BaseCamp is horrible and way too complex for casual use. I was able to use Garmin Express to import GPX files (GPS Exchange Format) to the Zumo XT. Any...

Trying to pre-plan custom decals - anyone have these measurements for a 2024 RT Ltd?

My pleasure, and you don't owe me anything, other than to help someone else in the future. Before I bought my Ridgeline I was driving a 2014 Honda CR-V. I was thinking about buying a teardrop camper trailer and realized the CR-V wouldn't be a good choice as a tow vehicle, so after looking at...

CarPlay Froze, then entire Head Unit Froze Up While Riding, then supposedly updated and rebooted on the Highway - Anyone else had this happen?

I've also installed the BRP Connect 4.1 update. Google thinks the PacTalk Edge uses Bluetooth 5.2. I'm using a SENA 3S PLUSS Boom Microphone Kit that uses Bluetooth 5.1. I turn the Spyder on and roll the throttle forward, then plug the cable into the phone, and then into the Spyder. I then...

CarPlay Froze, then entire Head Unit Froze Up While Riding, then supposedly updated and rebooted on the Highway - Anyone else had this happen?

I have no idea what FTTL means. And while I agree that Can-Am's initial implementation of Apple CarPlay was horrible, since the BRP Connect 4.1 software update it has worked very well on my 2024 Spyder RT S2S, other than in one canyon near Maggie Valley, NC, where there was no cell phone signal...

Nobody wants a third wheel - except when the backroads are littered with fallen leaves!

Isn't that a question you should ask of your passenger, if they mind sharing with a 3rd wheel?

Does a first service/oil change at 500 miles sound "normal" for a 2024 RTL

I checked the Operator's Guide for my 2024 Spyder RT. There is an "OPERATION DURING BREAK-IN" section, but it's about how to drive during the first 1,000 km/600 miles. It specifically says: At the beginning of the Maintenance Schedule section it does have a "Break-In Inspection" section...
