• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Omg

I hate to say this, but some of these "speed demons" are not riding above their skill level, they just don't have the sense to stay in their own lane. I witnessed this behavior, from an experienced rider (two up, no less) just this past weekend while riding the group ride to Cape Fair at...

How do I access the fault codes on my 2017 RTL?

The P0000 code is a "blanket" code that, basically, says …"Something went wrong in the CanBus, but I have not a clue what it is." Usually shows up, when there is a glitch in communications. The reason you no longer see the code is it is no longer active -- as you can see from the fact that the...

    Digital Dash Firmware Versions

I have searched for this, extensively … even asked in some of the FB pages. Does anyone recall the progression of firmware versions for the Digital Dash? I could have sworn that my selling dealer had to trailer my F3 Ltd to a sister dealer (with an experienced tech) to upgrade the dash from...

    RT windscreens

I have a 7Jurock that is shorter than stock, with a flip -- as above it is 4 inches wider -- I love it. Note that Lamonster Garage has recently started stocking an RT compatible windscreen, I believe from Freedom Shields; it also has the flip at the top edge. From the reviews on the site, I'd...

Any one had a Broken left heel ( Calcaneus )...I do!

I have had both feet worked on over the years. Left foot was just a heal spur removal with only slight damage to the Achilles tendon. I was weight bearing in a boot within one week of surgery. Happened to have a steel toed shoe that fit inside the boot, so I rode for several weeks with that...

    Blowing Out Remaining 2018 Spyders

These are good deals! The price on the F3 is what I paid, in October 2018, for a 2018 F3 Ltd from a dealer that was dropping the Spyder line (they sold the bikes instead of letting BRP "take" them back, or move them to another dealer). All the best …. Ann

Oh .. this breaks my heart! Prayers for the Denman family.

    2014 RT CB Issues

Hopefully, it is something simple … like setting the volume on the CB. Have you checked the CB settings screen? From left to right (also from memory) … channel, squelch, headset volume, microphone volume, intercom volume. I usually set my headset volume all the way up and then set the intercom...

    New Dash

Well … maybe … but, in most states, it is illegal to tamper with an odometer and doing so can get you in big trouble. This may even be a federal rule. Bottom line, just keep your receipts and a record of the mileage when the dash cluster was changed. All the best …. Ann

Where can I get my F3 Switch from stock light to LED, and does it make big different?

I got both fog lights and head lights in LED form from Lamonster Garage … the install videos are very easy to follow. Like amcvay1979, I did the installs myself .. fog lights, then fog rings, then head lights. It's really not that bad … the hardest part is gaining access to the area by...

    Manually downshifting SE6 ?

I always manually downshift (SE5 or SE6) … this keeps the Spyder in the "power band" range in case I have to react to a negative situation. Won't need to downshift as part of the reaction, I have already done so. All the best …. Ann

    So Sad

While the official accident report is not yet available, there is at least one eye witness account from one of the surviving bikers (he was hit and thrown, but survived). According to this particular eye witness, the pickup was driving on the wrong side of the road on a blind hill. The truck...

New CB installed - transmit is very weak

I have a LONG history of CB problems with the BRP integrated unit … weak transmit has not been one of my problems. A few things come to mind in the settings, that MIGHT make a difference. Also, you don't say if your wife is a passenger or on a separate bike … if passenger, the following should...

2019 Spyder RT LTD - Battery dead - check DPS warning and multiple fault codes

If your charger / tender is showing red that quickly, it really sounds like you need a new battery. And, as above, the dealer needs to make this right … including, if necessary, getting it towed to their location. Since it is not clear, from above, if the charging system is working properly …...

    BRP Connect issues

First, I do not want to minimize any of the problems people are having with BRP Connect … as I have faced some of them myself. And, like TheJuiceMan, I am extremely tech savvy (more than 30 years in software library design and support will do that to you). However, for those whos posts are...

    A tax question

I have used TurboTax for several years for our own tax return -- and ours is NOT simple. We have a farm (Sched F), I have a small consulting business (Sched C), we have income from royalties (Sched E) as well as capital gains / losses from an inherited portfolio (Sched D), and up until this...

    A tax question

I am a volunteer tax preparer with the VITA - Volunteer Income Tax Assistance - program in Wichita Falls (sponsored by United Way) and the IRS really did tax preparers a favor when they changed the 1040. You see, the form itself is a single page now …. BUT, and this is a BIG BUT, there are now...

    Magic Mirrors Pros/Cons

All you need to do to correct this is flip the magnets, one at a time, until the gauge starts behaving. Has something to do with the polarity of the magnets in relation to each other and in relation to the gauge. I have installed Magic Mirrors on two RTs (took them off my 2012 and moved them...

BRP Connect: Selection of GPS Apps

Of the two true GPS apps, I like Sygic … it is not too difficult to set a route on the phone and, I think it has the capability to create a route on the computer and then add it to the phone app (though I have not tried it). Sygic is more intuitive than Genius (for me at least) … almost like...

Hyperflashing - is that a problem?

My guess is you probably have a bad strip of LEDs … I had this happen with a brand new set from Spyderpops and the bad set was replaced without question. Good thing I always to a test plug in before I install, or I would not have know that one of 4 LED strips was bad. As soon as I unplugged...
