• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

spyderstore's dash mount: regular vs extended?

Does anyone have the Steel Extended Satin Black Dash Mount from spyderstore.com? I am debating which one to order: the Steel Satin Black or the Steel Extended Satin Black. Thank you in advance

modular Shoei Neotec II with Sena SRL

Dbronc1, I'm sorry I didn't try to connect to the Spyder's system. I love my helmet, so does my better half. It integrates with my android and his iPhone very well. We both use our cell phones for music and even maps, which are many times much better than the expensive Zumo my RT came with...

Fuzeblock FZ-1 install on 2019 RTL

I used MeudtPG idea to install mine - with a help. I didn't want it to be mounted on the battery cover, although that is a very good spot too. Mine is glued with and original JB Weld (was tested the best glue to resist vibration by ProjectFarm) to sanded trunk's wall with 100% silicone...

    Problem with Plasti Dip

The pin-striping is very nice. I can see the glitter - yes, the pictures are many times not what we see with our eyes. I bet it looks cool together.

    Problem with Plasti Dip

johnsimion, I like your red wheels and the blue and red accent striping on your bike. Did you dip your wheels? Is the red reflective striping holding up? Where did you get it?

    Problem with Plasti Dip

MDLNB, thank you for the sharing. Could you post a picture of what your bike looks like with the PD? I did my frunk, it ended up well for the first dipping. I have 8 layers down - was waiting for 70° F temps with 30-50% humidity. I have a decal over a part and wanted to do the glossifier, but...

McRuss, how is the Hi-Viz Yellow holding up? I've read somewhere that they like to fade out from the sun. You bike looks very cool with it.

2017 Spyder RT - Acoustic panel

No solid info from BRP yet, just posting what happened. The original BRP contact that resulted in an error did go through and I received a repply: “Thank you for taking the time to contact BRP with your inquiry regarding 2017 Can Am Spyder. In response to your request, if your unit has a...

just venting...day from hell at a dealership

3000 mile service is +/- $300 based on location on RT these days. I was quoted $2500 for CB install two years ago - I said, no thank you to that price (it included the CB unit). 9000 mile service is +/- $300 as well.

    Fused electrical distribution block

It is on the right facing the bike; however, people with limited bike repair/upgrade experience as me will have a hard time finding this hidden plug. You won't be able to cut the zip tied wires and pull them out without removing the frunk - at least not on the 2017 RT LTD. I had a help and we...

spyder01, how did you attach the fusebox to the curved frunk's plastic wall?

    Fused electrical distribution block

ozarkryder, thank you for the info. I am planning to put my FZ-1 in the same spot. I have already wires installed, we took off the frunk to pull the hidden zipped optional plug out and fed this plug through the grommet hole together with new wires. I have male quick connect on the end of the...

2017 Spyder RT - Acoustic panel

PMK, You have a good point. I originally hoped, someone with 2017 RT LTD will know if they have the Acoustic panel or not. My main reason was the whining/hissing noise I keep hearing if not wearing a helmet with music on. I am sensitive to high pitch noises due to the tinnitus though. Some...

    How to remove switch cluster

We decided to remove the Frunk today as we couldn't find switched wires to tap to for my new FZ-1. No, I didn't have the front optional Accessory plug available and the dealer didn't install battery tender plug as many of you mention. It wasn't an easy decision, but I like to learn about my...

2017 Spyder RT - Acoustic panel

Thank you so much Peter. I was going to get them, but checking this forum further I found out, I would have to cut into the tupperware, and I do not want to do that. I would still like to get the aluminum insulations as the center gets pretty warm within 15-20 minutes after start my rides in...

2017 Spyder RT - Acoustic panel

No I don’t Revalden, this is the first time I hear about them. I checked the web, but can’t find which year RT are they for. I would love to have colder Glovebox and no hot center where my knees touch. Thank you, it is definitely on my list now. Was it easy to install? I read on Amazon, that no...

2017 Spyder RT - Acoustic panel

I would like to know that too. Would this Acoustic panel deaden the transmission noise if it would be there? I have tinnitus in the right ear and if I don't have helmet with music on, I hear a winy/squeaky noise coming from the right side somewhere where the transmission is.
