• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A good day (and a shout out to Yelhelp)

I got up at 5am this morning to swap the break bar and move the pegs on dad's F3 so that he could be comfortable on the ride to Accord, NY. We left before 7am and had an awesome ride down through the Catskills. We helped to prepare registrations, and discussed some of the logistics for the...

    Saw a new 2017 at..................

I guess I am gonna wait another year I know you will be shocked by this, but I am very unimpressed with the "new" offerings for the coming model year:mad:. It seems that I am always left waiting for next year to see if they are gonna make a performance spyder.:banghead: Let the countdown to...

    Best question yet!

I am not saying that I am Batman, I am just sayin' that he and I have never been seen in the same room together. Just sayin'..............

What is the Average Age of Spyder Owners? - 2nd Edition

It means that BRP has not caught the attention of the younger crowd and the RS-S needs a motor upgrade to be in the 150-175hp range. It probably wouldn't hurt to make the base model RS and F3 cheaper either. Anyway; after riding an RT, an ST, an F3 and My RS-S I have come to the conclusion that...

Sitting on a Spyder without asking? Anyone have this problem?

Our spyders were parked by the windows at Taco Bell in Cortland. While we were eating breakfast a young boy (approx. 7-8 years old) ws standing with his father staring at my mistress. They were not touching the bike only trying to get a couple pictures and were not getting close enough to get...

2017 Line Up - ST Benched?

I prefer the 998 too. I have ridden my father's F3 and found that the torque curve helps with the gearing and the weight of the machine. They seem to be very similar when my father and I line up. With so little difference it has to be a rider preference thing. Just sayin'............

Not about the oil, about changing the oil

I use one of the larger paint pans (for rollers) to collect the oil in, it works really well. Just sayin'............

Does anyone recommend using non ethenol gas?

How the octane rating was explained to me: Higher octane fuels are more resistant to compression meaning they are less likely to cause predetonation. Certain "high compression" motors (like the 5.7l Hemi in my truck, or the 1000cc SDI twin in the latest Mach Z) require higher grade fuels. Fuel...

We are alright, the ST is another story

I looked at the road where I was driving and there is a little bit of a dip where I was when I was going around the "bridge out" sign at the end of our road. I Am 270 pounds and I had my wife on, so we were close to the weight limit, I wonder if that little dip combined with the weight was...

    Jack Sparrow at the hospital

My favorite actor too. When asked how he came up with the persona for Capt Jack, he revealed that he based it off of Keith Richards.............makes perfect sense now. Just sayin'..............

We are alright, the ST is another story

The ST seems to have a very low ground clearance, I noticed this when we unloaded it off the trailer. I don't think that the clearance was what caused the problem, I think it was NY State roads to be honest. The shocks on the machine are all in good working order, the tires are set to...

We are alright, the ST is another story

Thanks for all the well wishes. I am thinking the bottom of the floorboard caught, but I do not know how. The bike is insured, but the ride time is lost. There appears to be no issue with the tire, as we already had over 200 miles on it before this happened. I looked at it a little closer and...

We are alright, the ST is another story

Turning onto the end of our road at the end of an awesome ride today we were doing about 5mph when the back end of the bike launched us upward. Apparently the floorboard broke and caught the road, or caught the road and broke. Either way, the back of the bike is all bent up. I was able to...

    It's Official.

Glad to hear that you have fallen prey to the spyder. We bought an ST-S SE5 in april and have already put 4500 miles on it. I find that it makes a great daily rider, and that it will allow me to start my riding season earlier, and end it later. The one piece of advice I have for you is to...

2017 Line Up - ST Benched?

I have to say that the RS is not going anywhere, but there may be some updating. I know there are those in the RT crowd that like to look down there noses at it, but there is a much larger market out there that BRP has yet to break into. I will admit that there needs to be an entry level model...

Spyder party in Accord NY this weekend?

Maybe we could do a three mountain ranges tour: Appalachian, Catskill, Adirondacks. I did it one day when I went out for a "short ride". Maybe a Lake Hop? I do like to ride ya know. Just sayin'............

    GS vs F3

Windex works very well on anything matte. I Ride an RS, an ST, and my Father's F3 and each riding position is meant for different style of riding. IMHO sledmaster hit the nail on the head with the snowmobile comparison. When I ride the RS and the ST, I stand up for the big bumps. My father and...
