• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New to the Spyder Family

The type of helmet is a very personal item, and different people have different needs. I prefer the 1/2 helmet. I've used them for the past 20 years, and yes, I have had a couple of upsets while using them, but that has not deterred me. Sena make a very nice half helmet, with built in...

    neat bikes I saw

My very first ride was in 1959, and was a 1949 Royal Enfield 500cc one lunger. Great ride, and I thought I was on top of the world. No battery required on it. Kick start. No windshield. Came equiped with a spark advance.:yes::bowdown:

    SIRIUS XM RADIO

I also have the same setup, except I moved my antenna from the top of the passenger backrest to inside the top case, and did NOT notice any decrease in reception. My antenna is now on the top bracket assembly that is right behind the passenger backrest and is sitting on an approximate 45* angle...

    Seat cushion

I’ve thought about the gel pad from Motorcycle Dave, but damn....cutting into the seat scares the hell out of me, and I live too far away to take it to him, plus there’s the border issue.

    Zumo 396

Knowing what you know now, if you were looking for a gps, would you purchase the 395 again? I appreciate your honest appraisal. Right now, I have a gps for my car that I use on my Spyder, but find it awkward to see while I am riding.

    Zumo 396

    Zumo 396

Does anyone currently have, or has anyone ever used the Zumo 396? I’m asking because I can get a 396 for approximately half the price of the current models. The adverts seem to say that they do everything that I want, and they come with Lifetime Maps. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

    Find us (SpyderLovers) on Facebook

I am also one of those who have not shut out FB, but find that I go on it very seldom and am on here daily...sometimes 2 or 3 times per day, depending on the weather. Thank you Lamont, for endeavoring to “clean up” this site.
