• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Extended warranty - Canada - B.E.S.T. or third party

I also have a 2014, and unfortunately 2 weeks prior to the Best warranty running out, I had a bearing in the gearbox crater. My Best warranty covered the repairs, including a new gearbox. The only charge to me was the $50.00 deductible. All repaired, and.....no hassle. For my money, I...

    Motorcycles don't wave back.

I think it’s more of a change in society than anything. Most older riders seem to wave more often and more riders new to riding don’t seem to bother. I have a friend who rides a Harley, and is relatively new to riding, and he does not wave to anybody, other than to those bikers he knows. I...

Tri-Axis Handlebars - are they worth the investment?

I agree with UtahPete, no change in handling performance. I had trouble being in the saddle for even 2 hours....the bars were just wrong. I got the tri-axis and afjusted them, and what a difference. Now after a few hours of riding, my butt gets sore, but shoulders and arms are fine. They’re...

    Good morning

and a Happy Friday to you also. I won’t talk about a good Friday, as any day that I’m still vertical is a good day, but it could be better. It’s raining here and has been for a week now, and no quiting in the near future, so my Spyder is tucked away in it’s home, while I sit here, posting on...

    Looking for paint.

I have the VHT paint Cognac, but have not had any success finding what to use as the base coat....or do I need to use a base coat and just put two or three coats of the VHT on instead. I’ve been worried, maybe needlessly, that there would be a reaction berween the dash and the paint.

Can Am is not in the show

I did not attend the Greater Vancouver Motorcycle Show this year either. I spoke with my local dealer and he indicated that he would be there, but with old stock Spyders only. He has not received the 2018’s yet, and doesn’t expect any until February sometime.

Does it really take 300 miles?

I totally agree. I’ve ridden 2 wheels for 50 years also, and when I took the RT-S for a test ride I liked it, but thought it was a bit squirrelly but that I could “grow into it” in a short while, so I bought it. Took me close to 2,000 km’s before I felt totally at ease and really enjoying it...

    New Spyder focused website

Looks good, however before I subscribe, i’m wondering how secure my information is....Do you “sell” my e-mail address, or any other information that you can glean from any comments or posts that I may make? I know, I’m sounding paranoid, but in todays information is $$$$ age, the questions...

A Big Thank-You BRP and my Dealer GVP

In early October I took my 2014 RT-S SE6 to my dealer as I thought that my drive belt needed retightening due to the whining noise that appeared to be coming from that area. My dealer. GVP checked the belts tightness and said it was fine, and then took it for a ride to hear the whine first...

    Tinted vs Clear Windshield

I just use the O.E.M. windshield on my RT-S and at night I wear yellow driving glasses. I use them in my auto as well. Works fine, cuts glare. To each his own.
