• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Orange screen! Oh no!

Orange screen! Oh no! My first Spyder was 2010 RTs SE5. it was the same engine as yours, 998 V twin. I had to add a pint of oil every 500 miles otherwise orange screen and limp home mode. I always carried two quarts of oil all the time. Now I'm riding 2015 RTs. don't worry about the oil, or...

Last post on the Durango trip

Left Enid Oklahoma about 7:30 AM, once again fierce wind right in the face. Drop my gas mpg to 28. Good grief.. Hit rain in Poteau Ok and we were in it all the way to the Village. Spyder wanted to hydroplane a couple of times but I let the two engineering systems take over and just as fast...

Hydroplaining - Is it an issue?

HYDROPLAINING I've always let the Spyder correct itself. Between traction control and vehicle stability control I've never had a problem. Spent three hours in hard rain today pulling my 622. Hit a couple of deep water pockets about 5 yards long. Yes felt the Spyder begin to yaw but just as...

FINAL POST ON THE DURANGO TRIP

Final post, left Trinidad this AM around 6:30. When we turned east on RT 412 east to west head wind hit us. Steady 25 mph with gusts to 30 mph right in the face. Hey we had that on the way to Colorado. I was figuring on a tail wind but no. Dropped my mpg to around 26mpg. After 8 hours of...

3RD DAY OF OUR DURANGO TRIP

DURANGO Thanks, but we are no strangers to this area. In fact for almost 20 years we would visit some area of Colorado. The off years were spent in other states. We've RV'd is all the lower 48. Just thought the Spyder would make this trip a more personal visit to the Rocky Mountains versus...
