• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Any improvised excuse for ryde

I needed a new garbage box for the end of the driveway. It wouldn’t fit in the SUV. SPYDER to the rescue!

    I am kinda wondering...

Sports franchises are renaming teams, companies are renaming products, to eliminate the appearance or perception of racism. Ok, in many cases that’s a good thing. I’m just wondering, has anyone heard what Indian Motorcycle might rename itself to?

Recomendations on a portable tire pump to carry on bike

I went with a small cheap 12v. I figure since I have a 12v source handy, why pay for rechargeable?

Kanine tires not certified by BRP

It can become similar to the ‘darkside’ argument. If you have an issue that the warranty agent can conceivably blame on using a car tire on a motorcycle warranty coverage can get to be a problem. Similarly, if a problem can be blamed on using a ‘non-certified’ tire...... To satisfy my OCD I’d...

    Gave up on BRP connect

BRP need to abandon connect and go to Apple CarPlay and the android equivalent by on-board software upgrade (likely through BUDS). I won’t be wasting any more time trying to use BRP connect.

    Drive through windows

I’m a regular Tim Hortons customer. I have a wallet app on my watch and a travel mug in my Spyder2go. My local Timmy’s is used to me. Roll up to the window, Tap the watch, pour my tea into the mug, toss the cup in the bin just past the window. When I go through a different Timmy’s on a road...

VSS is a very sensitive beast.

Ok. I may be interpreting it wrongly. I’ll let it sit next time it pops up and see what happens. Thanks.

VSS is a very sensitive beast.

Braking firmly from 50mph for a red light triggered the VSS. When reversing, rear wheel rode up a slight curb, about 2”, triggered it. I’m learning to drive more gently.... In both cases power off and power on cleared the warning. Sensitive beast.

What should I get 2020 RT or RT LIMITED?

Think “will I ever?” Cheaper to buy the full touring capability up front than to add it later. It’s a long term purchase. You’ll be living with your choice for a while. If you think you’ll try long ride touring get the capability up front.

    It has teeth!

I’m looking at my 20 RTL from the front, at the Tupperware that points down in front of the radiators.... Am I the only one who sees vampire fangs?

    Trunk Organizer for 2020 RTL

Has anyone found a good fit? All the suppliers I’ve found list up to 2019. 2020 trunk is different.

    What's your best mod?

Added the bigbikeparts backrest and trunk rack, Canamspyderaccessories hitch It’s kinda a tossup. The rack is where tankie, my tail gunner, rides and tankie protects me. The trailer will be useful, but the backrest makes me feel much more attached to the machine.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Mounted the backrest, added the hitch ball to the hitch I mounted earlier, re-attached the wire harness using black zap straps. (The yellow ones I used (all I had when I originally installed it) were ugly against the black hitch.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Got mine in, but I had to be a little forceful with it. When in I found the screw wouldn’t reach with both fender washer and lock washer. Used just the fender washer with some loctite on the screw.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Was it the mounting bracket? How did you get it in the slot?

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed CANAMSPYDERACCESSORIES hitch and wiring harness. Flawless fit. Working on the showchrome ryder backrest. Mounting bracket fit is giving me issues.

    Showchrome rider backrest

The angled mount the backrest slides on to doesn’t slip easily into position. Looks like it’d line up properly, but I didn’t want to force it against the plastic. Anyone install one of these?
