• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Trailering - Windshield

Bride is hinting that once we sell the 3/4T diesel and the 33' 5th wheel, a small ball hitch towed, half toy hauler, half small living quarters, that we can tow with the Yukon might be just right:agree:

    Trailering - Windshield

Yep. If I ever get a place to unload my tools - we'll use the cargo trailer.

Great idea. See plenty on snow machine trailers up north.

    Trailering - Windshield

Cruzr, Bob No need to be sorry. I'm okay. However I will ask how is it you know this? i don't have any pics of the snow machines, sold them last June when I moved. Here is a pic of the front of my cargo trailer - about 5000 miles worth. Can't tell if dents are visible or not without...

    Trailering - Windshield

Have you actually seen or experienced this? Or just heard about it? Yes, covers wear out. My experience has been constant exposure to the sun weakens the fabric. They eventually develop tears - although often not at the stress points, those are usually reinforced. Brp makes skidoos. Never...

    Electrical help...please!

Couple of notes on batteries - probably stuff everybody knows. Up until maybe ten years ago, all that was available for motorcycles, snow machines, ATMs were wet lead acid, caps on top. Definitely leak if turned on their side. Shipped dry, electrolyte separate. Maintenance Free batteries are...

Parking Brake Warning Signal on a RT-SM6?!?!?!

Q: Is this a change from the way it has operated before?

Parking Brake Warning Signal on a RT-SM6?!?!?!

Likely you already know all this. And it may not apply - we are driving a 15 RTS SE6. I have to set the parking brake before I turn the key off - or it beeps at me. Doesn't matter if it is first or neutral. Pulling the key out doesn't matter. If I forget, turn the key off, it beeps -snarl...

    Trailering - Windshield

Based on towing a lot of snow machines, I'd recommend using a full cover. Never had a problem with the windshield- snow machine windshields are a lot wimpier than the spyder. My main concern is rock chips. Never had a problem with the cover abrading the finish. If scratch/fuzzing the windshield...

    laser alignment

Yes I am. Yes, Motor Sports of NM is there. I don't know what their capabilities are. For reasons I rather not go into on a public forum, I've been a bit leary of them. But, you got me off of dead center. Thank you. Rather than call them, I'll drive over. No, I don't understand why I get...

    laser alignment

Yes, amazingly I did. Unfortunately all are 200 miles away, unless they are 300 - not convenient. I considered the possibility there are others that do reverse trike alignments besides the ones on the list. Apparently you do not. I'm okay with that. I'll keep looking. After all front end...

    rode yesterday

Went to t or c, nm hot springs yesterday. Bout froze, stopped a lot. Dressed too light. Had to scrape the ice off the seats this morning. But it warmed up a bit today. Bought chillies in Hatch, had lunch in Old Mesia. Nice ride coming back. Kept to the back roads. Bride says no way is she...

    Need Helmet defogger...

Glasses fogging? (not discussing faceshield fogging - already well covered) I'm a touch farsighted. Generally don't need glasses unless I'm on a long drive in a cage - then they do sharpen my distance vision a bit. On the scooter - contacts and faceshield, or contacts and wrap-around, optical...

here is a question that i am having a hard time answering

I'm good. Family is with me. Extended family is close and they like me. Riding is good. I can travel most anywhere I want - and come back home. Life is good.

What kind of GPS do you have????

copilot on an android phone. I leave it in the trunk connected to the power port. Bluetooth connection to a sena 10s headset. It doesn't need internet or phone service. It's pretty good - but could be a bit better. And I may try sygic next.

    Trailering 2 RT's

Now that is a great idea. I didn't know two machines would fit forwards/backwards in 7'. I'm guessing it is 8 - 6 wide to the outsides of the fenders? Outside tires are really good. Drops the bed down quite a bit - makes them a lot easier to load. Have the builder follow that pattern, 10' or...

    Trailering 2 RT's

No trouble pulling 10' wide? Isn't 8-6 about the limit? It was in AK. I don't know about here in America. Last snow machine trailer I built was 8-4 tilt bed. AK DOT squawked a bit, but did give me a plate. Could you use an 8-6 x 16? Load one forwards and one backwards, let them overlap. I've...
