• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What's the suggestion for Adding Cruise Control to an F3?

Switch keys with the hubby - the fastest way for you to get cruise control on YOUR Spyder! :-) BTW, hello from a native Region Rat! Grew up in Merrillville. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Heated Gloves connection Point for F3?

That's exactly what I did initially - put the spade connectors on the heated gear power cord so it would plug directly into the harness under the seat. (I also wear a heated jacket liner.) I've only used Tourmaster Synergy gloves. They're ok. Not sure if they're the cheapest or the best...

    tank bag for an f3

That's a RAM U-bolt mount and the Ram mount X-Grip phone mount. Not necessarily the sleekest of things, but it does its job. One thing about that mount is that the phone sits high enough that you can take some pretty decent pics or movies with the phone, if you orient it right. The Techmount...

Heated Gloves connection Point for F3?

I connected my heated gloves to the wires under the seat when I picked up my F3 last February. It worked just fine. When I had a lot of the Tupperware off to install the heated grips and GPS, I ran a dedicated power line for the gloves from the battery. All in all, I prefer heated gloves over...

    F3 passenger extended comfort

My wife has had her RT for over four years, and we rode two-up infrequently. When we picked up my F3 in February, we rode to the dealer, about 20 miles away, two-up, with her as the passenger. She dropped her Spyder off to get new tires and then took the F3 out for a 100 mile round trip ride to...

    tank bag for an f3

I've got a Nelson Riggs tank bag that has a clear top on it. I was able to make the straps that came with it work on the F3. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    F3 reliability and related

Over 6,000 miles on my F3-S with nary an issue, other than too much rain in April and May, so I couldn't ride as much as I wanted! ;) I switched to the F3 after 3 years on a BMW K1600 GTL - one heck of a nice sport touring machine that had its share of little issues like weeping water pumps. No...

    Adding aPower Port

Great write-up and pictures! The only thing I would add to it is to make sure the location of the outlet in the panel has clearance on the backside. Don't want it sitting on top of the stuff right below the panel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Sadddlebags

I can't speak to how well the Corbin bags integrate with the existing passenger backrest, but I do recall one of the questions asked during the ordering process was whether you had any accessories like that. As far as the seat, the Corbin touring seat is one piece. They provide the...

    Sadddlebags

Mine were delivered today, as well. Get them installed? What color did you get? I was expecting the additional strut color would match the frame color (red/orange in my case), but they didn't - they were black. I also had to go buy a tap and die kit, because the threaded hole on the strut...

2016 Spyder Line up announcement at sturgis?

While the 2016 unveiling may or may not be a Touring edition of the F3, I do expect it to be an expansion of the F3 family, in one direction or another. It will be interesting to see what direction they take it, if that's the case.

    Engine Replacement Timeline?

UPDATE - Kudos to BRP Have to give a huge shout out to BRP customer service for taking care of my friend's Spyder. BRP arranged to provide him a loaner F3 to use on his trip and until his Spyder is repaired!! It was ready for him to pick it today at a local dealer (not the dealer...

2016 Spyder Line up announcement at sturgis?

When we were at Spyderfest, one of the Can Am directors (he was in the picture for the delivery ceremony) and a photographer were out walking around the parking lot taking pictures and asking owners questions about their Spyders. He said that BRP was looking to pull their new model year...

    Engine Replacement Timeline?

:agree: The only thing that comes to mind is s@&t happens and he got to experience one of those one-in-a-million things... I'd definitely be interested in seeing that spark plug! (I'd think BRP might be interested, too) Because he said it got really loud all of a sudden, I thought it could...

    Engine Replacement Timeline?

Back at the end of January, a friend at work stopped me, somewhat out of the blue, to tell me that he and the wife had just bought a 2014 Spyder ST. Neither of them had a motorcycle license, but had signed up for an MSF class a few weeks later. (I surprised him in the same discussion to tell him...

    GPS mount above instrument cluster

Nothing wrong with a little Rube Goldberg ingenuity! That's a great location for the GPS. That will certainly do until someone (hint, hint) comes up with a proper mounting bracket. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
