• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New WV Spyder F3s owner - tail bag question

I've been using a Biker's Friend barrel bag on the passenger seat. It can serve as a driver's backrest, too. I think it's the large size. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New front LED lighting

Looks great! Nothing like being seen and seeing the road ahead of you. I've got a gap-tooth smile on my bump skid lights - caught some gravel when I hit a depression in the road, and the depression happened to be full of spilled gravel. It knocked out three LEDs, I think. Sent from my iPhone...

New bag from Corbin for the F3 (Sneak Peak)

I had easily-removable hard saddlebags on the K1600GTL. Nonetheless, I got their soft-side saddlebag liners to make it even easier to carry stuff into the hotel rooms. I still have them and will see how they fit in the Corbin bags. Assuming those soft-side bags do fit, I expect to have some room...

    Some F3 IPS Parts

The seat is a Corbin. A passenger can ride with the the backrest in the driver's position. The backrest will also go in the passenger position. Even though my wife has her own Spyder, she likes to ride with me on the F3. It's often enough that I decided to order a dedicated passenger backrest...

What is the average time to complete the 3000 mile break in period.

Two and a half months for me. I did have a number of days with inclement weather, so it could have been quicker. I'll ride as long as there isn't ice on the road or raining for the ride to work and less than a 40% chance of rain for the ride home from work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Some F3 IPS Parts

Ordered some IPS frame caps and the third peg on Friday morning, delivered on Tuesday and installed today. Since I moved to the F3 from a tall motorcycle, the step-over-the-saddle routine was fine with me, but the third peg will just make it easier to get on and off the Spyder. It will also give...

    It's in my garage

Congrats on the new F3! Looks great! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Tools needed

If I remember correctly, the pegs use a 5mm Allen wrench and the linkages use a 10mm wrench or socket. Be careful when removing the bolts on the pegs. BRP used a lot of blue loctite on those bolts. When I was swapping out the pegs for the floorboards, I rounded out the allen head recess in two...

    regular or premium?

In my real life, I am an aeronautical engineer and design high performance fighter aircraft, where requirements are the things that really matter. If you meet the requirement, you're good. Huge difference between "shall" and "should". If the customer says they'll pay for an airplane that will do...

    regular or premium?

I guess BRP screwed up and and put outdated and incorrect marketing information in the specification's section of the 2015 F3's owner's manual, too. Can you imagine the liability a corporation would have by doing that? And by having inconsistent information, where two sources say different...

    Sirius XM Channel Tuning

I installed the BRP satellite radio module in my wife's 2011 RT this past winter. For those who have the BRP satellite radio module, do you have any issues tuning to a particular channel? Scrolling to a channel higher than about 17 is a crap shoot on my wife's Spyder - it keeps reverting to...

    regular or premium?

91 Recommended, Not Required Owners manual says the recommended fuel is 91 minimum (for optimum performance), at least according to my F3's manual (but who reads those anymore). It doesn't say it's a requirement. Huge difference... The owner's manual says the minimum octane rating is 87...

I've been saying that for the past 4,500 miles! Glad you enjoyed the ride!

Has anyone installed the Can Am auxilliary lights on F3-s

Here's a post from a couple months ago. Those lock nuts were a real pain to turn into the locked position. I liked Lamont's idea to slot a socket. Personally, I think BRP should have included an installation tool in the kit...

    Assessory wire ?

You could also tie into the GPS power connector that's on the RH side, under the side panel near the seat. I ran the GPS power back to it and used posi-taps to tie into the harness just ahead of the connector.

Tasian Ride Report #1...Breckenridge...Texas...Run with some friends

Love that ride up 4! Nice having a reasonably long run like that fairly close to home! Can't wait to do that ride again soon to Mary's Cafe in Strawn so we can ride over the bridge at the north end of Lake Palo Pinto. I want to see the lake, which went from nearly bone dry (less than 9% full)...
