• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Honors to Our Owner / Admin (aka Lamonster)

This is SO COOL. Friends of Joan and Lamont Bryden, Rick and Julie Alexander, have given Lamont the gift of the "Golden Ratchet" -- photos below. Lamont shared this on FB and I know many on this board do not "do" FB ... so, I asked if I could share here (as owner of the board, I know Lamont...

    New tires

Real World Test of Kenda Contact Patch As I have stated in another thread on tires ... I have two miles of gravel to travel in order to get to pavement. Very early in my Spyder ownership, I tested the contact patch of the Kenda in order to determine the best pressure for my weight and what I...

    Harder steering after laser alignment

Headache All this discussion of tire pressure is giving me a headache :D Seriously, though, I just had a Yokohama S-drive put on the rear of my RT and asked that the dealer start at 24 lbs (considered a little high, I know). But, here is my plan to check that I have the "best" pressure for...

CB Trouble AGAIN -- VENT and Dealer BLACK EYE

Thank You Steve! Sad, indeed .... I probably should have taken a selfie when the dealer accused me of disconnecting the ground strap (I know my jaw dropped when he said it). I watched Pierre's video several times to learn how to get the "antenna / speaker pods" off. And have inspected...

CB Trouble AGAIN -- VENT and Dealer BLACK EYE

UPDATE -- Compressor / Heated / Grips Circuit Test Just a quick update .... I pulled the fuse on the subject circuit (item 2 in my previous post) and then ran the squelch to the point where I am getting a constant RX condition (bike is NOT running at this point). The quality of the noise is...

CB Trouble AGAIN -- VENT and Dealer BLACK EYE

Thank You BRPCare As noted above, I contacted BRPCare outside this forum via email. They have now responded and opened a case for me -- I should hear something within the next 5 business days. Also gave a direct contact number, should I want an update. Note, I am still convinced this is an...

CB Trouble AGAIN -- VENT and Dealer BLACK EYE

Maybe Sure ... I have considered it; the problem is integrating it into the helmet (since I use a wired headset). One thing I have considered is going with a setup like my husband has on his Indian: J&M handle bar mount CB (would have to change the antenna, of course). J&M CB interface...

CB Trouble AGAIN -- VENT and Dealer BLACK EYE

Well @#$%^&*()_ .... the CB has GONE SOUTH AGAIN! Recall that this is the THIRD CB installed in this unit (one at purchase and two as warranty claims). On the last warranty, BRP replaced the following: CB Radio Entertainment harness (all of it, front and back components) Installed the J&M...

    JUST READ THIS

Missing Yes, Bob, you did .... we are also weaklings ("most women" are) .... nope, I don't think so. I know I am physically stronger than many men and also mentally tougher than most anybody. Of course ... that is just my opinion. All the best ... Ann

    A word about octane --

Pure Gas We are lucky enough to own a ranch and have our gas delivered .... it is all non-ethanol (yes, we pay a premium price about 10 to 15 cents more per gallon, depending on what the going rate for a particular truck load is). Generally, we get premium (91 octane) ... but sometimes get the...

Disappointed -- Not Angry Yet -- Bad Compressor?

UPDATE -- Found and Being Fixed Okay folks ... thanks to all that responded. Here is the deal -- the new compressor WAS tested outside the bike and it is good, so the current blown fuse is NOT the compressor (YAY , was dreading having to wait another week for parts). The old compressor...

Disappointed -- Not Angry Yet -- Bad Compressor?

Disappointed -- Not Angry Yet -- Bad Compressor? UPDATE Grrr .... after waiting a week to get parts for a seized compressor on my 2016 RT Limited, dealer called yesterday and says .... "It still blows the fuse when the compressor starts; appears to lose continuity somewhere." Well...

    PowerSportsWarehouse???

Dispute Paypal has a dispute process ..... if you don't want to wait any longer and can get the item faster from the local dealer. I think it is through feedback, contact vendor, or dispute / complaint (been a while) -- we have had good luck getting refunds for items never delivered or...

    Anyone tried a 7JUROCK Windscreen?

Like It Nice windshield ... 235 miles today. Set the windshield so I look mostly over it, except right in front of me (of course). Surprisingly, there is little distortion, even in the area of the flip .... there is more distortion around the edges of my progressive trifocal lenses than in...

    More discussion on windhields

Shorter Windshield I highly recommend 7Jurock (www.7JuRock.com) .... they have 21", 23", and 25" sizes, theirs is 4 inches wider than stock. In addition, you can call and have them add a recurve "flip" to the top edge. This is a true remove old, change hardware, and bolt back on -- fits like...

    Anyone tried a 7JUROCK Windscreen?

Flip and Tint You have to request the flip and place the order by phone to do so (it's not on the web site for order). I just installed mine today, but did not take any pictures. I ordered a 23" in light gray tint with the flip -- anxious to try it out on the road. Once I pull it out of the...

    It's Becoming Clear To Me...

Thread to Bed Not quite ready to "put this thread to bed" (as you requested). I realize you are concerned about your wife getting stranded, alone, in the middle of nowhere. However, instead of looking at that as doom and gloom ... look at it as a new adventure. You see, I disagree that...

    Code U0155 After Battery Change?

Reason for Errant Code I got this code once, as I was setting my clock. The Spyder was in neutral and I had let me foot drift off the brake. Spyder threw the U0155 code. I think the bike must have moved (though I did not notice that it did). Never saw it after the one incident, and nothing...

Looking for Wheelchair carrier - anyone help with supplier/manufacturer contacts?

References Some Spyderlovers to try: SethO and Kawakii are both paraplegic and have carriers for their wheel chairs -- might be able to recommend someone reputable. Doc Humphreys at Roadster Renovations just built a carrier for an RT -- he might have a different design for other models. Doc...
