• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Fox Rear Shock

alternative to FOX shock I am by no means disparaging a Fox or any other brand shock. But... I think you'll find the custom-made shock from Cogent Dynamics in Asheville,, NC, with rebound and pre-load adjustment to be competitively priced. Their remote pre-load adjuster mounts conveniently...

    Rear Rack with BRP Backrest

opening the lid I have a Givi 55liter topcase on Maurice's rear rack. The lid does hit the BRP passenger backrest just short of opening all the way (so it stays open by itself), but it's not an issue, so I just deal with it (or be a gentleman and hold the lid while my lady retrieves her...

    mileage numbers on rear tire?

track days? surely you jest Paul: I'm asking because right now this very afternoon my odometer is showing 2600-odd miles and counting. Looking at Mapsource for mileages between my home in GA and the Ozark rally and the Red Rock rally and then home again, I'm thinking about an additional 5k...

    mileage numbers on rear tire?

Anyone had their F3-S long enough to require a new rear tire. How many miles before it was toast, and please add your riding style. Grandma? Hooligan? (It probably makes a difference) Thanks, Pete

turning an F3 into an RT The F3 and RT, especially if you've owned both, are quite different machines. So, let's say there are things about the RT which don't particularly work for you, and you find the F3 has some, um, endearing characteristics, so much so that one just happens to worm its...

    F3 TRAILER HITCH

Ross is gone Being interested in this Bushtec hitch, I called the company today and was told "Ross" is no longer there. The gentleman with whom I spoke is calling me back with information regarding availability of a hitch for the F3.

different foot support location? You mean like something on which you can actually support some body weight before slamming over a speed bump or rough railroad crossing, taking the weight off your spine? I've got a spare set of driver's footpegs from an RT I'm going to try mounting on the...

F4 Customs 28" Windshield on My F3-S is the Bomb

handlebar-mounted mirrors clearance? Don: I have the Lamonster kit for re-locating the mirrors onto the handlebars (as he says, like on a real motorcycle!) on my F3-S. With the mirror in this position, will it clear the F4 windshield when the handlebars are swung lock-to-lock? Thanks, Pete

    Another Seat Question

squirming Part of the reason we squirm on the stock seat (and perhaps others, too, if truth be told) is the placement of the driver's foot pegs, way forward in the cruiser position. I'm investing in a pair of "3rd pegs" from Lamonster so that I'll have a set of pegs directly under me on which...

    F3 suspension

brand of shock Paul: I think the Cogent Team answered the technical part of the question for me. Here's the "un-technical" answer: WHOPEE! Jackie and I rode the F3 two days back-to-back in the Bryson City/Cherokee/Fontana area of western North Carolina after picking the tryke up at the...
