• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

External Speakers no longer working on 2025 RT-L - How do I open the fusebox? Is there a special trick?

That is good news, but did the dealer teach you how to open the fuse boxes? You still may need to get in there someday.

I'm going a different route on my next set of front tires - trying these IOTA EVT (Standard's) instead!

Just be aware that you must have a TPMS if you are running run flat tires. You need to know when you are actually running them while flat and you are limited to the number of miles that it is safe to do that. They are not mount 'em and forget 'em. But you will likely not find one in our size...

Can anyone identify this? Found on top of Piston #1 on a 2015 RT 1330

FWIW this is from a 110,000 mile K1200LT engine borescope. And it cleaned up nicely to this. -

There really are no alternatives to the Can Am reverse trikes

I did see a reverse trike kit for the Goldwing on the web somewhere and it looked interesting. In fact I just found this :

Looking for a good GPS - Touring, no off road. Considering Garmin Zumo XT - thoughts?

I went with the ZUMO XT2 as it uses the new "Tread" app for for routing and it syncs with your phone to bring in new routes. Garmin has abandoned the old Base Camp software and even though I was very proficient at routing with it, I have found the Tread app to be very intuitive and easy to use...

External Speakers no longer working on 2025 RT-L - How do I open the fusebox? Is there a special trick?

The audio output is selectable from speakers to headsets, no mute. I have that setting added to the Mode switch as well as the display for fuel MPG/Range and Temp/Voltage, so I can select them on the fly. Stock set up means you have to be stopped to change them by touching the display but if...

Has this Clutch Late Lockup always been there???

Whatever oil BRP put in it when they built it, as I have not even had my first service yet.

Has this Clutch Late Lockup always been there???

That is kind of what I was thinking since it is not related to a cold engine and it always does it from a dead stop, every time. Must be normal.

Has this Clutch Late Lockup always been there???

I have only had my 2024 RTL for a total of 2300 miles and lately, when two up riding, I have noticed what feels like a delayed lock up of the clutch that only occurs in first gear. What I mean by delayed lock up is as you add throttle from a dead stop in first gear, the bike starts to move and...

Can the Grill & Radiator be Painted? What paint is best?

FWIW I am thinking of doing the same thing to the Spyder that I did to my K1200LT. It also had dual radiators and I made small window screen frames and installed fiberglass screen material in the frames. The frame were then stuck on the front of the radiators with 3M double sided thin foam...

2024+ User Interface - how to pause the music; how to get to the phone menu; and can the touch screen safety lock-out be over-ridden?

You set up speed dial in the headsets memory and tap a few buttons on the helmet and it calls that number.

First ride after adding seat gel hoping for more comfort, but nope, no change! What to do? Anybody made theirs better?

From his site, S4 includes recover of the rear seat, but you do an S1 if you only send the front. "Solo Price on a two-piece seat pan includes recover of the rear seat. If you send the front only, it is the S-1 price code."

2024+ User Interface - how to pause the music; how to get to the phone menu; and can the touch screen safety lock-out be over-ridden?

I have my Samsung paired to the bike and my Sena 20 (built into the NeoTec) paired to the bike and I can make phone calls with voice commands in the Sena 20. I have never tried to get the phone call screen up on the dash.

2024+ User Interface - how to pause the music; how to get to the phone menu; and can the touch screen safety lock-out be over-ridden?

Mine is in the same version and it is a 2024 RTL. Are you pressing it "in" and not up or down while you are moving? I use it all the time when my phone starts to lose a cell and the music gets spotty. I step through screens until I get to Media then just press the OK button in to pause the...

Our First Long Trip on the Spyder

It has been 10 years since we took our last 6,000 mile ride on two wheels and at least three years since we had an out of town ride on two wheels. Today we completed our first over night 500+ mile trip on the 2024 RTL. Most of our 3 wheel time has been day trips of less than 150 miles, and since...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

We used to go up to Ruth Lake in the 60s; our friends had a cabin on the Lake and they always had a pot of Venison stew on the wood burning stove! Brings back some nice memories.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I washed it a few days ago. Today I it out for a lunch run with my bride. Normally it is a 28 mile (41 minute) shot from our home to the restaurant, but we took the 68 mile (1 hour 20) scenic route today. The more we ride the Spyder, the more we love it. Now that the temperature is more...

I guess I'm just not a Twisties guy!

FWIW I really enjoyed the twisties on two wheels and not so much on the Spyder. However after 1400 miles and the Baja Ron Ultimate and his JRI shocks I now really enjoy the twisties on the Spyder.
