• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Riding in the Rain

Bob - that's for rider's who have visors... I wear corrective goggles - setting the windshield right below eye level keeps my goggles clear. I also have a set of lightweight rain gloves, with a squeegee built into the thumb. Just in case.

Base 2015 RT SE6 - Info and Pictures required

I preface this by saying - "This is my choice & my opinion" I went from a 2010 RT "S" SE5 to a 2014 RT SE6. There was nothing on either the "S" or "LTD" that I wanted or missed, and ended up with a terrific buy. After 3,000 miles, I am not sorry I opted for the Base RT. I have added Seal...

The ISCI handbrake is top quality, and works well. It is EXPENSIVE, but works very well, without cutting into the hydraulics - takes a handy person about two hours to install one.

    Riding in the Rain

I think it's amazing that here in the Great Northwet, we tend to be adverse to wet weather riding (I certainly am) - out East, it's just a fact of life. Last week it was sunny, 68+F, humidity at 45%. and I rode everyday, with only one bug splat... This week, it's already raining, and the...

    Disconnecting the seat piston

Mike - you can change the angle a bit, by putting spacers/washers on one end of the bracket, thereby tilting the backrest. Not a lot, but I understand it's enough for many.

    Rainy Day thoughts

I have one - a 2014 front ended, and the forks are toast. Frame & driveline are perfect, and it has 1100 miles on the clock. Got it for "scrap" at just over $4600.... Thanks for the offer though.

    Rainy Day thoughts

I was out of Spyderland for a year, after selling my 2010 RT, now that my 14 is here, I have realized how much I use it - I only put 3300 miles on my car last year, with over half being a round trip to Northern California, the rest for weather days.. I find that, weather permitting, I use the RT...

    Oregon

If you're coming all the way up the coast, either cut over at Lincoln City, or go all the way to Astoria... One of my summer trips took us to Jasper, AB. On the way back, we walked on the Columbia glacier (original source of the Columbia River), then followed the river all the way to...

Yes, they were. But then, I had Works shocks on it. I really don't remember the color of the stock shocks.

SITR is close - Eureka, CA. You can loop a bit North as you leave, and ride through the Redwoods, costal forests, pop over Crater Lake, then down to Klamath Falls an head home....

    Replacing my 2011 RT Limited

I went from a 2010 to a 2014. The 14 needed a sway bar and shock spring stiffeners - but I'm a big guy, and I got tired of hearing the undercarriage scrape on heaves and other road issues... Shifting is smoother, and you check the oil under the seat. Other than that, enjoy.

Well, my RT's springs are black.... Doc, nice job - they look much better. Are you going to offer the shock covers too?

Any reviews/opinions on the new Can-Am Freedom trailer?

IMHO, there are a lot of better choices than either CanAm trailer - you can buy a tent trailer with lots of storage for the same price, or even a bit less. However, if you really want a 622, my dealer has 3 left - 2013/2014, and all at the same $3500 price. Clawson Motorsports in Fresno also...
