• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well, I never thought i'd say this, but I'm getting an RT.

Congrats! I highly recommend adding Seal Floorboards - they are FAR better than the BRP versions.

Any reviews/opinions on the new Can-Am Freedom trailer?

Some of the NorCal dealers - around/North of Sacto say they have some. My dealer in Salem, Oregon has 4.

Perhaps you wonder why anyone would want to live in a place as crazy/weird/faaarrrrr LEFT as Oregon? I found this short video that may answer that question for you:

    SlingShot sightings

When I was an undergrad, our big thing was the "sports car" - MG A/B, Tiger, Healey, Alfa, etc. The SS owners I've talked to feel more draw to those than to motorcycles. There's even a Friday night SS only rally scheduled for next month. There's also a local guy who has installed a SxS roll...

    SlingShot sightings

Bob - even with all the SSs I've seen - I've never seen a SS driver wave (other than an IQ statement at a van that cut one off....).

    Any info on this?

OG - I've had a lot of fun, over the years, buying crusty/basket case bikes and restoring them. If you can get a good deal, the bones are good, and you can/don't mind the work - go for it. You'll never make money, but you can sometimes get a unique ride, you otherwise couldn't afford.

    SlingShot sightings

I don't know about where you live, but I've seen more SlingShots on the road in the last month, than Spyders over the last two years. At least out here, looks like Polaris has hit a sweet spot.

    Winter riding in Oregon?

Been riding every day for the last week - Don't even think about using the cage. Absolutely terrific weather, for early March!! Been playing with my new video camera - since it's a cylinder, I'm trying to make sure the camera angle is correct. While I don't like filming through the...

    Trailer Dimension Help Needed

Yes - the ATV jack makes positioning easy. To give yourself some comfort, draw your trailer interior dimensions to scale, and cut a couple of paper RTs to scale. You can see what you'll need to do to get them to fit. The problem with most THs is that there's "stuff" on the sides - fold up...

BRP Sponsored Events...Which will you attend

You don't have a NONE option. The only one I would consider is SITR, but I'll be in Glacier at that time..

    Trailer Dimension Help Needed

Use your Harbor Freight ATV jack to rotate each RT slightly, and they should fit. Remember, that's 2,000 pounds you just added behind the axel.. make sure that doesn't do anything nasty to your weight & balance...

Guess I will have to shop for new insurance

It's all in where you live. I moved in 2014 to a town 1/3 the size, and in a "rural" county. My insurance went up 14%, just for that.

Guess I will have to shop for new insurance

Lots of insurance rates are changing - and not to our benefit. However, you may be able to get an umbrella liability policy that will lower your cost for all the rest of your policies, giving you an overall lower cost. We're going to have to get creative, or just carry liability and take the...
