• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Any info on this?

I agree - definitely a home brew job. Have the owner take the RS to a Spyder dealer and do a full check. If it's as advertised, you pay for the once over, if it isn't, he pays.

    10 year old plus bikes!

Yes, it's SOP for HD. Never had that problem with Honda's though. I bought a bunch of old iron head Harley's as a project a few years ago, and went to the shop to have the jugs honed and order new piston kits. "Sorry, we don't touch those anymore - no, we have no idea where you can take them."...

    A minor rant

I always have the first service done at the dealer - all others, I'll do myself ($60 total, with Ron's kit). I just want to make sure all of the "updates" are done early. Sharing my minor rant serves to provide a "heads up" to other locals. Nothing out here costs the same as those East of the...

    New Project

I had my RT in for its first service this week, and they had a F3 next to a RS for comparison, on the floor. I wanted to like it, but, I just couldn't. To me, with all the adjustable bits, it looks unfinished. I understand why it's put together that way, but when I put the Vrod's or RT's fit...

Jim; Have Shawn do the laser alignment, while your RT is at Pro Caliber... it really is worth it.

    A minor rant

Final tally was $560.... 1st service (I supplied the oil, filter, and all "O" rings, etc), and alignment. 7 hrs of labor + 3 warranty service updates.

Rode 36 country miles to the stealer yesterday - bright sunny & 38 to 40F. Let's hear it for F4 windshields and heated grips!! She'll be ready to come home today, so I'll take the long way home - out around Silver Falls park, if it's a bit warmer. We're looking to bump 70F today and...
